[IMG] the boiler project would of been a fair bit more money if we used pro press fittings. lol.

@Abeyancer What are some good manufacturers of air regulators/filters?

Anything in particular you’re looking for? I haven’t installed mine yet and the coupler is on the shaft, but I could pull it no problem.

    Congrats!

Did I see a while back that you mentioned you’ve been a tech up to this point? That’s the route I went and there aren’t many of us!

@02hilux hooked it up with a pic (thanks to him for that!) that I sent to marlin. They wouldn't sell me a coupler without a pic of an adaptor. They closed by the time I sent it so gonna have to wait til monday.

That’s really lame. Maybe if you had more Instagram followers they would be less douchey about it

I’m super interested in how the new NWF Eco Crawler does once it’s been out for a bit. Marlin has needed a real competitor for a long time now and it’s cool to see the technology move past the old RF1A setups. Makes it real tempting to sell my NIB Taco Box…

Its really messed up that a pioneering company like marlin has completely abandoned their heritage in the 1st gen. From what I have heard they only care about this 3rd gen bullshit long travel shit now. A true Toyota is an sas dual case setup IMO. But, what do I know, I just want a fu%ing coupler!

Im partial to Parker cause, company wide, theyre at least 51% of total global manufacturing genuine made in US. Ingersoll Rand is what we ran at the heavy equipment shop, harbor freight got run at both the lawnmower shop and panel shop lol.

Most important thing is servicing the filters regularly (follow manufacturers guidelines) and including a drain in the system. Best thing is to get an automatic tank drain, otherwise just drain the water off it frequently

How long ago did you start? I went to school focused on being a tech but never caught a break into any places for that specifically, even though the education has impacted my work history positively. I always wanted to end up as an integrator and maybe possibly could have eventually done that when I worked at the panel shop. But it would've taken too many years and I'm old enough already, I had to follow different set of opportunities :burnrubber:

OK, this is my final iteration. I did a 3/4” air filter at the compressor instead of the 1/2” to avoid the bottleneck.

Thoughts? This consists of two buildings. The shop building, and the warehouse. The system allows us to use both 1/2” air tools (mainly for lug nuts) and 1/4” air tools (for painting and powering the pneumatic oil pumps).

To give some context, this is what I’m working with. The Fastpipe air system utilizing 1” diameter aluminum pipe. It uses manifolds at each “drop” with four air ports each. In each building, there’s - 1/2” and 1/4” air reel in addition to a standard coupler to plug normal hoses into.

If it were up to me I’d be doing the system with copper, but caveat empetor…

Finally figured out why an 80 series triggers some classic body line images in my mind. A simple crease that runs the length of the body without much chrome or ornamentation.
