If you listen closely, you can hear everyone putting their chinstrap back on for that extra 2mpg.

i could be wrong. I thought it would tap into the daytime running lights but the backlit feature makes them glow whenever the lights are on ‘Auto’ on ‘DRL’ or on ‘Low Beam’. Ill ask for clarification for exactly what they tapped into and report back

Lucky to have that MFab body. I'm waiting for the Element KnightRunner body to build the mini-me. I don't possess the skills for the MFab shell... awesome work!

    Sweet!

Thanks, I built a 2nd widebody Mfab and then got the Knightrunner myself. Nice little RTR truck. Added a few mods to it. Its 1/10 scale sitting next to Mfabs 1/9 scale.

The MFab is just better hands down. But as you know a serious amount of work. Have you ever seen @turksandjerps on Instagram? He did one also. I'm usually in awe of the final product some people get with these. Yours is no exception.

Finished the last few steps of installing & wiring my SwitchPro. Already mounted my Diode Dynamics light bars a few weeks ago via a dual light bar mount from my local shop, SDHQ.

Punched through my firewall grommet w/ my fishtape, installed the SDHQ keypad trim piece, wired everything methodically w/ marine grade connectors & shrink wrap, protected wiring from all sharp edges w/ wire loom in strategic locations, concealed my wiring, programmed SwitchPro brain via bluetooth. Though it’s easiest to use a terminal block & bus bar for connections, I had no plans to use them as exposure & corrosion mitigation were priorities. I’ve seen far too many heavily corroded terminal blocks in my years, and I MUCH prefer sheathed wiring from end to end on any project.

Everything worked flawlessly & now it’s time to light up some trails.

Yea, I've seen his and there are many others who are artists when it comes to building RCs. These are my first attempts and there's are way out of my league.

You bought from Toyota and they had duck tape to protect the surface? Must've been a return. How long it take you to get all the glue off?

They do offer them rated for snow load. You should also def get the upgraded cover material as the buget material wont last longer than 1 or 2 years depending on sun exposure.

I found that out the hard way with a small one I got many years ago. My last one that collapsed had the heavy duty cover but was the reg roof style. Didnt shed snow very well so went round style this time. Works better.
