Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Changed my spark plugs. 2016 TRD OR access cab, 58K miles. Old plugs were burnt pretty hot.

Put in the stock Denso iridium plugs that come with the truck new.

Shit job, 3 hours with all the finding the right tools and getting access. Plus my back and neck are toast, a few years of disability from numerous injuries. So not the most fun job.

I sure miss the old days when I could change out 6 or 8 plugs in 20 minutes, since there was nothing to move out of the way to access the plugs. In fact they were all a case of pull the boot, attach a plug wrench and thats it.

It does drive really nice now, is much smoother and quieter and immediately noticeable.

Pic below of the work in progress today.

Compare that to the pic of a 1986 300cyl straight 6 I had in an old Ford F150. Drove that truck hard for 13 years, never an issue. No recalls, no breakdowns, one replacement clutch, brakes, and 1 radiator in that time and about 50K offroad miles on that truck. Unbreakable. I have had my Taco for 3.5 years now, and it has not been without issues. If it can be 80% as good as that old Ford I will be happy with it.

This is my 4th 4x4 in the last 35 years, but my first Taco. I have over 10K offroad miles on it now, but it is a bit fragile compared to that old Ford.

Ordered new OEM LED headlights from Sparks and the harness from FBC Harness. I can't wait to see how much better they are!

Yeah mine is round also which lets the snow slide off pretty well unless its heavy wet & sticky, but with a little push with a broom from inside it'll slide off. I've easily had two feet+ of the light fluffy snow on it but no way would I trust that much wet snow. Even though its "snow rated" I'm pretty sure it's not that snow rated!

For first attempts... yours is incredible. Did a silver Defender 90 as my first, still have it. Lots of money spent on things I didn't need, or found out to be useless. They can be addictive...

Did you remove the wheels to do them or lift up your truck and rotate the wheel?

My friend Darrin has the same storage unit, he puts his quads and snowmobiles inside, he learned to re-enforce the unit with extra self-made cross bars to stiffen the unit up. he used 2x3 with pipe clamps and extra anchors for the ground.

Yea I agree. I've seen where many have had issues with theirs and they aren't even 2 year old. I'm sure I'm on borrowed time.

4 years for me and 27k. It amazes me how much some people drive sometimes. This summer I will get even less miles as I want to buy a honda navi, 110mpg!

How do you like your RCI Skids? Does the Catalytic Guard cover the cats well? Or do you think there are other skids out there that protect them better? Did you get the aluminum or steel?

These are 1,000% better than the stock skid. I got the 3/16” steel. The 1/4” aluminum is lighter, however it will not tolerate too many direct hits as well as the steel. I don’t have the cat guards but feel the transmission skid covers them well enough to be a deterrent. You have to remove the two bars that are there to protect the cats and discard them when installing the transmission skid.

    These get removed…..
