    Brand new.
My friend Darrin has the same storage unit, he puts his quads and snowmobiles inside, he learned to re-enforce the unit with extra self-made cross bars to stiffen the unit up. he used 2x3 with pipe clamps and extra anchors for the ground.

Yea I agree. I've seen where many have had issues with theirs and they aren't even 2 year old. I'm sure I'm on borrowed time.

4 years for me and 27k. It amazes me how much some people drive sometimes. This summer I will get even less miles as I want to buy a honda navi, 110mpg!

How do you like your RCI Skids? Does the Catalytic Guard cover the cats well? Or do you think there are other skids out there that protect them better? Did you get the aluminum or steel?

These are 1,000% better than the stock skid. I got the 3/16” steel. The 1/4” aluminum is lighter, however it will not tolerate too many direct hits as well as the steel. I don’t have the cat guards but feel the transmission skid covers them well enough to be a deterrent. You have to remove the two bars that are there to protect the cats and discard them when installing the transmission skid.

    These get removed…..

Just installed them with the wheels on the truck and didn't rotate them at all; I just adapted to how it was positioned. It might be easier with the wheels off of the truck and laying flat on the ground.

What brand of rear rack unit do you have?
Wont that grille guard mess with the Toyota safety sensor?

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
That is pretty funny, a straight 6 getting over 500hp.

The straight 6 from my old F150 was amazing. Slow as thick snot, but perfect for the bush which is what it was used for. It was my daily driver too. I could not beat anyone off the line unless 4 of their cylinders were blown, but 4-lo was so low you basically had to get out and push to get it to move. Grunt power. Any stories you have seen are true about put it in first gear 4-lo, let out the clutch and walk beside it, uphill or down. I miss that, crawl control in my Taco is pretty wierd and honestly just not as good as those old granny gears in the Ford 6 cylinder.

Thats the old stuff though, I would not buy any Ford truck today that is newer than 1994 model.

With a little drilling you don't have to ditch the cat protectors. Although I don't know what the tranny skid is like

That’s with just the engine skid. They have to be removed for the transmission skid. Take a closer look at the second and third pic.
