I recently installed a secondhand kicker 180.4 and it powers on but I'm getting no sound. I've tried everything that I know to do, so reaching out. Wiring pics attached. I wasn't getting any power using DC so tapped into the gray wire on the 28-pin for remote turn on. Now getting the power light on but no sound.

Strangely, my sub receives no signal either when the amp is connected, even though I tapped into the front speaker wires upstream of the amp. When I unplug the input side of the amp, with the other end of the harness still connected to the HU, the sub plays.

I've tried the radio detect on/off, and changed all up/down toggles. Still no sound.

I used the Red Wolf Harness. 2020 non-JBL. Any ideas, other than the amp may be bad?

You mentioned "your sub and amp". Do you have a factory sub?

No, I have an aftermarket hideaway sub that was installed and working prior to the amp install. It is completely separate other than tapping into the front speaker wires in the harness upstream from the amp.

Is your impedance (ohms) matching? Some amps can only run impedance so low before they power in safe mode to prevent burnout

Front and rear door speakers are 4 ohm, as well as the amp.

Those go to the hideaway sub. I tried disconnecting those as well and it didn't solve the issue.

you've already checked for voltage at the amps input terminals with a volt meter?

i would also check for voltage at the audio input using the a/c setting on the same volt meter.
