Re the shed vapour barrier , I wouldn't be overly concerned by that . Vapour barriers are mostly a consideration in dwelling units . In a shed there would presumably be no bathing / showering or cooking . The OSB on the outside of your building is considered an air and vapour barrier in our code if the edges are taped with an approved tape . I build in a "vapour barrier on the warm side of the insulation" climate so I don't profess to be an expert on your climate design requirements but I would also suggest 2lb foam as an insulation because it would essentially air seal the wall cavities and the OSB to the studs

He does too lol his warm moist air just happens to be outside the envelope :)

If he does spray foam do you reckon he’s gonna have to engineer some air movement thru the structure beyond cracking a window every now and then

Prepping to install the solid hickory floor next weekend. I had to rip out carpet, cheap snap together flooring, and some tile that was practically welded to the subfloor. The concrete backer was so adhered to the plywood we just had to scrape the plywood off in sections and now I have to go replace it lol. I’ll do OSB because the rest of my floor uses it. I want to punch the guy that put it together. Luckily it’s just the walkway, but still took a few hours and the number of fasteners I need to yeet before cutting new boards is going to be extremely tedious.

It looks like I have a deck for a floor now

The carpet and cheap click floor took probably 20 minutes to get out.

Anyway, long ways to go before next Saturday. I have to rebuild that subfloor, pull fasteners, patch a bunch of drywall, prime, and paint walls. Changing all of the trim so no undercutting to do other than the fireplace.

That's alot of hard work you've done
Been there done that on my home
    Payoff is great
You can sit back and say
    YEAH I DID THAT

Knowing you may want to size the neck of person who did tile install
They did do a good job
Better than having stuff fall apart because it wasn't done right

I'll be that guy if someone try's taking up my kitchen tile
    Subfloor glued and screwed
    Tile back buttered before laying
They're not going too have fun

    Oh forgot
    It better not be me
    Because wife wants different floor
I'll be cursing THAT GUY WHO DID THE INSTALL

    I hate hanging doors.

I screwed up on the narrow one. Accidently framed the opening too tight and couldnt use a standard size door jamb. Used thin strips of plywood instead. Thank God it worked, I was envisioning a curtain rod instead. :puke:

Hopefully gonna start trimming out this room this week/coming weekend. Decided to get this room 100% done before starting to paint/trim the hallway.

Hi guys, visiting my sister in law in Raleigh, NC and noticed these plastic covers that are in the ground about 3 feet from her foundation. Ive not seen these before. Are these familiar to anyone? Look like clean outs, but she has 3 along the foundation in the back yard. Thanks!IMG_1850.jpg

Ok, do you know, are these usually precautionary or after noticing an infestation? She just bought the house.
And call a pest guy for service?
She wanted to put in a patio and we don't know how far into the ground the pipes might go and can they be moved?
    Thanks

Prob the area you are in, usually orko or some monthly service company the previous owner had. The company comes out once a month as needed to fill them and or replace the "bait". id just pull them and move to different side of house. Just watch out for liquids inside.

Always have your phone in the ER. That way you can gross people out. Warning. Table saws are dangerous.
