Do you notice a thud/clunk sound at the back when you slow down (or braking)? I noticed it happens every morning and disappear when you drove the truck for 5-10 mins or when it warms up.

I park my truck facing uphill. This biases the front brake pads to the front of the calipers. When I first apply the brakes, moving forwards, after backing down my driveway, I get a clunk as the pads shift in the calipers to be biased to the rear of the calipers.

    Might be something to consider.

Yes, I occasionally get a thunk in the rear of the truck when braking to slow down. Initially thought the spare could be loose. That is not it. Don’t think it is pads, as not up front. It is not something shifting in the bed, it is usually empty.

I get it too and I am convinced it is the fuel tank "gas canning". When the fuel contracts a bit causing the side of the tank to buckle in a bit, then when you slow down the fuel sloshes to that spot and pushes it out. When it sloshes and pushes it out it pulls air into the tank by force so you dont get it again until you park for awhile. The only reason I feel its this is because this only happens when the tank is 3/4ish full for me.

Ok thank you for all your feedback. So not just me. Maybe this is normal. Sometimes it does not make any sound.
