TRD Pro MT @ MSRP. 12 day wait. Only options are tube steps and spare tire lock. Picked up an allocation 2/27. All the other TRD Pros on the screen had "$10K plus trade" next to them when I looked over the salesman's shoulder.

My dealer called me yesterday that they were taking the Tacoma off of the truck. I'm a lucky SOB and didn't take a deep breath until I finished the paperwork.

Snapped a shot of the truck driver after he took the Taco off of the trailer. He picked it up from a rail yard in Elwood, Illinois that morning.

Very nice indeed. I'd of tipped him $10 for a lunch for delivering and being extra cautious on your TRD pro.

How long does production typically take?

I was was told a build date of 4/5. Is that when it starts? If so how long after is it complete?

I always ask not to put it. If they give you pushback, just tell them if they are dead set on putting it on, you'll be sending them a monthly advertising bill

Most mass produced vehicles these days take less than 20 hours start to finish.

Yup. If you have a build date of 4/5. It will be completed by 4/5. Everything after is logistics lead time, which is very inefficient in todays environment. After build date, I’d say expect to add 4-6 weeks for delivery to dealer.

Damn! Just checked and my date has changed from delivery on 3/27-4/01 to 4/2-4/07... I'm not sure if the tires on my trade in-have that much tread on them..

They play by book and that’s it…. Don’t put new tires in a vehicle you’re trading in. Silly as hell

I'm thinking instead of heated seats, sheepskin seat covers. I used to fly, and some of the stuff I flew had sheepskin seat covers, and they were great. Warm in winter cool in summer and no power required.

Lee Toyota in Maine has a red TRD OR coming in. Premium package, $45k. Probably still available as it was offered to me yesterday but I passed.

I wish it was a sport, in green, without the Premium, and closer to hawaii, and closer to $26k... I guess this wouldn't work for me..

I'm just saying that to make it easier to accept my 2022 maybe a 2024 .lol

Unless your tires are shot because they will knock it hard for that. In that case I'd buy cheap used tires with a little more tread :D

This. Last car we traded in had tires I bought used that had a 10 year old date stamp on them and they gave us dead center bluebook for trade in on it and didnt even look at the car first. We're trading in my wife's car shortly and just had to put brakes on it... hated doing it but they were making a lot of noise lol

The dealer gets tires at wholesale / and the work is free. They don’t care, generally speaking they assume tires have to be changed on every trade in.

If I recall from some posts here and checking myself....every two weeks or so. Should be a new allocation going out in the next couple days.
