So the nice neighbor lady stopped by my house this afternoon while I was wrenching on the bike and handed over a heavy box. It was the set of lower ball joints I ordered from Camelback last week and FedEx had misdelivered to her house instead. :facepalm:Anyway, I already did a quick drain & fill on the transmission Friday and removed 4qts of moderately dirty fluid (still had a reddish tinge though). The transmission filter arrived yesterday, I just need more ATF and the proper sealant for the pan. I'm also expecting a delivery of silicone vacuum hose to replace the 20 year-old original hoses, which I'm sure have pinhole leaks or cracks I haven't located yet. The truck is also due for an oil change, hence the reason I grabbed a case of Mobil 1 at Costco this morning haha.

After all this is done the next big thing on my list are the leaky valve cover gaskets because the rear of the cover on the passenger side is quite nasty with a film of oily grime. :poking:

Thanks! Yep, 1 inch spacers with 4.5 bs wheels. They rub the frame slightly at full lock, but it doesn’t bother me, as I’m trying to minimize the scrub radius

Sweet. I’m trying decide if I want to run spacers or live with some extra frame rub since I’m already 4.0” BS. May run a 3/4” spacer. I’ll have to give them a test run without first.

Looks awesome! Welcome to the club!
At the time the Yokies were one of the cheapest 35s, quite pricey now. That said, they have wrong incredibly well. I have zero regrets on going 35s on my Tacoma, make sure you make room for them and you'll be good. What back spacing you going to run with your 35s?

When you say 35s are you running 315/70/17?

Tire prices have gone through the roof, similar to everything else right now. That’s what I like to hear! Planning on cutting it up for sure. These SCS wheels are 4.0” BS. Are you still running 4.10’s?

Tell me about it. Good tires are a pretty penny! So I have less BS but I can't remember exactly. It's around the 4.5" mark, keeps the tires under the flares. Rub the frame though.

I still have stock gears but added a supercharger. It's a handful to rockcrawl because of the gearing. Gets around just fine though.

Sweet. I’ll try and run no spacers as I’m not running flares so shit likes to paint my truck lol. I’m undecided between 4.88 and 5.29 when I do regear. I was leaning towards 4.88’s to maintain some highway manners but these motors like high RPM’s anyways so… :goingcrazy:

I’ve had 4.88’s with 33’s for a few years and it was great. But with the 35’s I’m wanting 5.29’s. Manual transmission
