I have a smoker, but also bought a used Weber propane grill for faster cooking (like for a few pieces of chicken for meal prep or a single steak). The used Weber is better made than the newer ones, and you can often find them locally for under $100.

For stuff like that just get a gasser, I have a Weber genesis to compliment my kettle for quick cooks

I didnt believe a pellet grill could do all until I up graded my Traeger to the timberland. I can run that thing all all day long at 180 degrees or if I want I can bbq at 500 all day long. takes half the time the pro or a charocal would take to warm up as well

Feeling torn here... I just scored that mint Weber Performer for $100 and now a 26" kettle just popped up for $100 my area. I can only have one. Should I buy the 26" and dump the performer or just be happy with my new performer and pass on the 26"?

Dang. I’ve been looking for a used 26” for years.

$100 you could by it to “flip”… but then keep it because you can’t get some crazy price you come up with.

I regret not getting the 26, even though my 22 is a pain to move around at my complex. You can bet I’ll be upgrading when I buy a house

I have the older version of this for quick grill sessions. 1/2 chimney of charcoal for most jobs :)
It’s a solid versatile product, limited cooking surface area though

Does anyone still use Kingsford briquets? The last bag I purchased from costco burned like a dumpster fire just billowing noxious smoke.

I haven’t used them in years. I made the switch to lump coal and haven’t turned back since!

I last used them a couple of years ago and they burned fine. Blue and white bag. Been using pellets since then because the devil made me do it.
