Yep, definitely a good looking truck. Whenever I see something like that I just automatically know that I should avoid discussing anything close to politics with them unless alcohol can be ordered to the table and I have nowhere I need to be for a couple hours.

 

If you mean that they knew that they were ignoring decades of established audio control layout and were engineering both the head unit and wheel controls to be counter intuitive, they sure did. I know this is off topic but this argument always gets my goat.
Reel to reel, laser discs, cassette tapes (both audio and video), CDs, DVDs, MP3s, and Blu-rays all use a left arrow to move media backward and a right arrow to move media forward. The colloquial phrases are “turn it up” and “turn that down” in regards to volume.
But yeah, sure.
Matching controls to a poorly thought out GUI is more important than decades of control commonality and plain old common sense...

Totally agree. It’s a touchy subject and so many very strong opinions and feelings on the subject from everyone.

 

Agreed, but this is also one of those battles that, if won, puts you into small but revered group of modders. Right up there with the guy that ripped half the electronics out of his truck before installing a camping stove in the tail gate because... "reasons".

 

I will support this endeavor from afar, and in the interim I will crank it ALLLLL the way to the right and ROCK OUT.

Got the engine skid from RCI today. Waiting for the transmission skid and cat covers to come in still.

DEFINITELY do the exhaust re-route. I didn't and I'm kicking myself. Already high-centered myself on the "bump" from the skid-plate. The re-route costs about $100 only in an exhaust shop

 

Went to Big Sur today. Just putting the front diff and transfer case through the motions until I get out somewhere more technical with friends. Beautiful scenery…….
