I'd like to add an anytime camera to my truck and trying to figure out were I can mount the front/rear switch... all my available slots are used up.

A couple thoughts are removing the AC 100W/400W button or somehow using the empty slot to the left of the steering wheel.

    Any clever ideas?

    New button:

Some new Tacomas do not have that pocket and instead have switch locations. Or you can purchase inserts that will give you more spots.

Looks like you need Mesos ECT mod, if you can find one. It moves the ECT button from under climate control to a button you put on your shift knob.

I popped out the BSM switch which I have never turned off since purchasing truck, I left it on and taped it behind monitor/dash. Anytime camera switch into that spot

@Steinbeck - thanks, I like that idea. I think it’s a lot easier to see the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel vs the left, I don’t want to be fumbling when parking.

Also, what anything system did you go with?

yea just get a 3 switch for that spot right there.. like this...

then you will have 2 other switches to use later if needed.

I moved my rear window switch to the left of the steering wheel using a harness extension and a 3D printed insert for more switch real estate and put the camera switch in its place.

I think @MESO still makes custom 3D printed panels. I got one years ago from him.

Isn't there an option for the steering wheel controls instead of using a switch???

If I remember right that's a kit from a different company. When I looked into it there was the kit with dedicated switch, and then some other one that used the steering wheel controls instead. I went with the switched one

@Av8rJake - I like that option... compared to the other options, this one looks like the surface of the 3 buttons will be closer to the surface of the outside panel, other options the buttons looked recessed.

@mic_sierra - I really like that one, looks great and OEM, but the a little pricey.
