part-0_20211127_081839.jpg My buck this year, KY limit 1, shot 38 hours from gun season closure. Hardest hunting for a nice buck since moving here!
He was 150#'s dressed and 4-5 years old based on teeth wear.
I hunt the steep ravines of south central KY.

Our Scout leaders used to take us at night when we'd be on camping trips. They'd toss and roll horse apples around when we weren't looking to make us think something was in the bushes or running across the trail lol.

How was your season? I hunted as much as I could even w a crazy work schedule. Best whitetail rut hunts I’ve had in a couple years. Nov 5-13th were rowdy! Public land Illinois is as tough as it gets but I’d rather be lucky than good any day. Ole one horn bruiser…what a porker

Man I ran a lucky duck with a decoy on it for a long while till a border collie snatched it during a set. Ended up swapping to the x24 and haven't felt the need to even buy another decoy. You'll be fine more about hiding yourself and wind, even at night, than anything.

My north Fl turkey hunt last weekend. We hunted the edge of a clear cut. We deployed a hen and Jake decoy. A few calls after sun up, they came running in. My first bird was a good two year old bird so I took him. Fifteen minutes later four three year old birds came in. I took the one with the largest spurs. We had 12 gobblers and three hens in front of us that morning. The bigger bird had a 10 3/4 beard and 1 5/8 spurs. An amazing hunt, but I’m limited out till fall lol.
