Kings are putting out the practice squad. Brown went out as well. I hope they make a decision on Chychrun or Boeser soon because they will be right down there with the Sharts if they don't.

Anyone watch Heritage game? It was pretty good. Ice seemed decent, no weird glare or shadows. Action was still pretty fast. Toronto has some issues though. They need to figure it out. And as far as Matthews, I love the guy, as you dudes know, but he gotta get a game for that. That was uncalled for.

Quick is certainly USA Goaltending royalty, at this point. Good for him. He's had a great career and is underappreciated, in my opinion.

Looks like the Panthers are making a big push. Supposedly them and Colorado are in for Giroux. I guess Philly is holding him out of games now until he's traded? Will be interesting to see what Leafs do and also Vegas (with so many injuries.) I don't think the Pens will do much.

 

You want to want to recalibrate your hockey sense on that one. Kings are decimated by injuries and all will be back before the playoffs. They have teams that aren't even in the playoffs run left to play. I am a betting man and I'm gonna say the planets lineup and they play decent hockey they very well they will be in the finals.

 

Are we watching the beginning of the next great Swedish netminder? This kid TO found is good in a very limited number of games behind a team that looks shakey.

 

Maybe now is the time to trade Kapanen? He isn't producing and a change in environment might do him good.

 

Sounds familiar with Kappy. I liked him here but his production is streaky. I think the Leafs are only in on a 3-5 D for depth in reality. They have their forward depth from the Clifford trade earlier in the year and I don't see Dubas selling the farm for a goalie. It also helps that Robertson isn't taking as many risks as he used to on ice, so I don't think Keefe wants Dubas to trade him and he was the piece a lot of teams want in return for a bigger trade involving TO.

If I had to guess Dubas is open to dealing but not as likely to bet the farm this year as he would of been if Campbell was still in the Vezina conversation. With middling, possibly improving, goaltending and a young D core that will be back next year I don't think TO should push hard to make deals. Florida is the Eastern juggernaut and I don't see the Leafs being the team that knocks them out.
