Also, some lucky bastard snapped up the property for $350K in November according to public record; The Borough Historical Board requires that all new construction must look a certain way, and it is common for teardowns like this one to utilize part of the original structure. Even though this shitbox was built four years after WWII ended and has no historical value whatsoever, the buyer/builder is required to build a new Cape Cod in its place. According to Zillow, the house is 1,382 square feet with 3 bedrooms and only 1 bathrooms; I actually thought that it was a lot bigger. Anyway, this place will be ripped down and another much larger Cape Cod will go up in its place, which will promptly sell for $1 million or more because it's Doylestown...

The kitchen, sporting a 24" wall oven and discolored laminate countertops, likely hasn't been updated in about five or six decades...

 

I wouldnt go down there...

I didn't even go in the house; Take pictures through an open window or door and you're just a guy with a camera, but go inside and it's breaking and entering...

It's been over nine years since my last incident with Doylestown police over photographer, and I am really not in the mood for another one!

 

The house was deemed a biohazard after they put the previous owner in a nursing home; The only thing salvaged from the house was his PT Cruiser, which as far as I know was in running condition, and was taken by the next of kin before the house was sold. You can actually see the PT Cruiser in some of the pictures I took back in September-October, when the previous owner still owned the place...

The PT Cruiser was in fact still there in late September; My friend who lives just down the street said that everything was considered a biohazard due to the mold and that the car was gonna be crushed. However, the car was not in bad shape and known to be in running/driving condition, and I suspect that the owner's family took possession and sold it since it was just gone one day...

Definitely 1960s-1970s based on the wall oven seen in the first photo; The previous owner had lived there since the 1990s, and according to my friends who live down the street, they'd been inside and this house was in outdated but "better than average" to "good" condition. Apparently, the previous owner's wife died, his health deteriorated, and he allowed the house to fall into disrepair over the last few years...

 

The PT Cruiser came out when I was in 6th grade, and I actually liked them; I would still buy one today if it was a stick shift, but those are incredibly rare!

 

No idea if the new owner did this in the process of demolishing the house, or if the previous owner allowed it to deteriorate to this point; Probably a combination of both...
