Good chilly morning to everyone!

 

A friend asked me to help build a duck blind in Snowhill, MD. I went there this morning with him. I didn’t realize what I was in for, a 25* day trudging through 1/8-1/4 mile of swamp…Still had a good time.

How the hell is everyone?

 

Tired today and want to mess with my truck. How about you?
After swapping coils, I’ve got a intermittent vibration again from about 50-60 mph I want to get rid of. After checking out the working angle of the 2nd drive shaft/rear diff u joint, I think adding my 3° axle shim with the fat end forward, (usually the shim goes the other way) will get my working angle to under 1°. That’s the hope anyway. Good thing it’s a slotted shin and pretty easy to put in/take out. Right now the rear diff is angled up, higher than the rear driveshaft about 3.6°.

Tile company is starting on the floors today… looks like I’m stuck in the bedroom with dogs keeping them calm and out of the crews way. Oh well, could always be worse… could be at work, slipping in the snow and mud all day! FTM!

 

What kind of fire rings do they have set up at green ridge? Just rock rings or the kind with the grill grate.

 

Pretty good. Started my new job today. Went well, but its labor work so its a bit of an adjustment.

 

Must have been the day to start new jobs. I started mine today also. Got to see how the other side lives. 12k square foot on the Potomac. No it was not 68dave.

 

I was at Sleepy Creek last fall and the camping area was open however all of the trails appeared to have newly installed red steel gates across them. I didn't explore much since I had the camper hooked up but that's what I could see from driving around the area. Also it was still warm out and the horse flies were vicious.

My old job was eliminated ( down sized, whatever you need to call it ) last May and I've been trying to find something similar in both the type of work and the pay. I have not been able to find anything else like it and I need to get back to work, so I took a job in Hunt Valley that I start on the 28th. It was hard to take it, in a way, because it's the kind of work that I did before I went back to college and was doing the engineering technician work. This is sort of a step backwards but at least I will be able to have some income and still look for that "perfect" position. ( preferably located someplace in the desert SW part of the country.)

 

I was looking for awhile. Multiple applications, but no call back. Gets depressing.

Well this is site 65 up at Green Ridge. Unless you have a high power fishing rod with lots of line you’re not reaching the Potomac from the camp spot. That is unless you want to take a hike or drive down to it.

 

I know how that feels. The thing that was wearing me down was after an interview, you got ghosted. Even after a follow up e-mail or VM from my end, you heard absolutely nothing.

 

tell me more about this beach camping/fishing- where do you guys go? i've only surf fished during family beach weeks at fenwick island/ocean city, late july/early august.... didnt catch much. "camping" and fishing overnight sounds fun


sorry to hear about the job search, i was lucky enough to find my current job while still employed but it still took like 8 months of searching before i got an interview, cant imagine the stress youpre gonig through right now, hang in there.
