She’s come a long way from being a basic SR. Just swapped the grille and I’m loving it.

Awesome write up. Basically..... no 2 tacomas are ever the same. My son and I both have 2020 SRs and you would definitely think they are 2 completely different models.

I feel the same way dude. My son got one and I was like this is the best bang for your buck between the aesthetics and functionality for an extra $900. It was a no brainer.

Damn... this is why I bought an SR... Utilitarian, cost effective, capable, and looks AWESOME when you spend an extra $1200 - $1800 on some wheels and tires. I factored this into the cost of my truck before purchasing... this mod makes the most impact. Great looking

Hello my SR friends… Is anyone thinking about going to the 2022 Lonestar Toyota Jamboree this year 4/28-5/1? I’m contemplating going, but haven’t 100% decided yet.

If you want one ...here's the trailer hitch for a rock bottom price

    Draw-Tite 75238 Class IV Max-Frame Receiver Tacoma 2016-2021 (probably 22s as well) $37.33
Amazon has the Draw-Tite 75238 Class IV Max-Frame Receiver for even less with a 15% off coupon on top of the 41.19 price

total becomes $37.33 (a few dollars cheaper than the last front page deal for this)

    Hitch link [amazon.com]

Fits These Vehicles: Toyota 2016,2017,2018,2019,2020,2021(Tacoma Pickup) - I would assume 2022 as well since nothing major has changed on the trucks.

    Store: Amazon

I am a little far away (upstate NY) but sounds great. Been to the great state of Texas many, many times and love it there.

I just returned from a 3900 mile National Park trip. I slept at rest stops and off the road with the seat back in a Teton 0 degrees bag and loved every minute of it... Looks like an awesome trip. Nice photos.
You mentioned you slept in your truck with the seat back. Did you alter the seat in any way, or use it as is ?

I sleep in the back when I go into the forests. I have a utility SR, and there's no back seats. I built a flat platform for my dog, and I just push the seats forward, set up a pad, then my sleeping bag.

Interesting. I too have an AC Utility. It never occurred to me to look into a sleeping setup located in the area behind the seats. Thanks !
