TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

If you use some JB Weld Marine weld putty to fill in the hole you could easily flush it back down with a little sanding work then blast the area back to black again. It'll be like nothing ever happened.

Since the blower is aluminum, you could get it welded, but they'd have to know what they are doing for sure.

You should really consider getting a hold of Magnuson to show them the consequences of their oversight because that ain't right on multiple levels. As much as we pay for these things they need to be perfect.

 

I have a stock radiator and the shroud still in tact. I am with you. I was thinking the best way would be just that. to adapt that shroud onto a new one. In terms of tanks that's not too bad there are tons of aftermarket ones we could bolt don't to the shroud if we have to go that route. more cost but they don't seem very costly. Def most costly but in the grand scheme of things worth the effort in my opinion.

I definitely want to run something different than that triple mounting setup for the radiator fan myself. I just don't like how it seems flimsy. If not that then at least get some sort of aluminum ring made right where the inner part of the arms mount on the fan itself.

yah that idea has promise too but in the end, a nice aluminum one would be the way to go.

 

That would be the most ideal and the nicest for sure. I entirely agree. I would love a replacement shroud as a whole that is made for the E-Fan but it seems like no one makes them.

Auto.

2014 w/70k. Stock down to OE oil and air filter.

 

Simple oversight that has potential waiting for big problems. Abrasions from vibrations cause much fuckery.

If you can TIG weld, that is actually an easy fix. Due to the thick material, it will be very forgiving.

my worry was where its very thin now. i havent a welder or know anyone id trust to do it.

 

I was hoping for 315/330 or so out of it. I guess 304/312 will have to do... for now
