Not really orgainized or clean at the moment but you get the idea.
yeah I always have cardboard layed out on the platform for a variety of reasons. Useful and helps me keep the bed clean

Be sure that you take that fire extinguisher out periodically and invert it a couple of times. You want the powder to remain as free flowing as possible.

The QF mounts to the side of the bed, and wrap around the extinguisher.

That is actually a really good suggestion.

Finally mostly finished my drawer platform. Full build thread link here. Thanks to this entire thread for ideas, especially want to credit following people that I shamelessly lifted bits & pieces from: @sachou , @cjptacoma , @scottyventure , @tonered .

Created to help give back to the great TW community and give others a blueprint for a very basic build. Hopefully I hit that mark. Cheers!

Thanks! Realized you should have been tagged there too, I'm pretty sure I used something from one of your previous posts in my build process. So thank you too!

Maybe. I built mine out of 3/4" square steel tube with a single metal pull out drawer.

Either way yours looks good, I'd just fill in the 2 square holes behind the bed braces to finish the look.

Ahh now I remember, you had a more detailed post about sealing up the bedside caps to prevent water leaks. I've got that one bookmarked for later, very helpful though so thanks again.

Re: the holes I'm leaving them open because I can reach my arm into those spots and pull things out. Also with how I build the platform sides I can remove the top piece and store my boots in that location when sleeping and have the entire shell closed up. But yeah for better aesthetics it would look nicer with it closed off.

Here is my set up. Took a little longer than I wanted but wanted to make sure it was done right. Still get just a little bit of sag. Think Im going to add one more cross brace... Not sure if it should be vertical or horizontal tho..

I’ve been running a set up like this, minus the addition middle supports for like 5 years in our second gen and I’ve never had any problems. I’d say you don’t need an additional support, just my $0.02

Have you slept 2? How much do you weigh? I'm 185 and I get a very subtle(maybe 3/8") sag. I'm worried about the cumulative effect over time since I can't necessarily flip the board over since I have a gallon of glue and 10,000 staples on the other side lol

Could always run some aluminum angle iron down the middle of each to provide support. 3/4" assuming that's what thickness sheet you're using. You can also get C shaped pieces so cover both sides

That's what I did for my middle pieces but going across horizontally
