That's pretty impressive considering your tires as well. What size tires and mods? I was thinking ill be lucky to hit that given my weight and tires.

 

is there a preferred o2 sensor for our trucks? not the afr, just the trucks main 4. denso??

 

I used denso oem, it threw the opposite code the first week once, then nada since so I think I am good now

 

I have 3.8 and would rather spend $100 on HPT than a dumb superchip for $600!

That's at the rear tires? That's not too bad at all. You figure about an 18% drive train loss with stock wheels tires, and probably closer to 25% with the 35's. Puts you between 360-380 at the crank. That's on a pulley that's only 1/8" smaller diameter. I think that's pretty dang good if you ask me.

 

If it’s anything like my truck I’m pretty certain he can squeal the tires shifting into second gear on accident

One thing’s for sure, when it’s time for me to dyno I will be seeking out that exact Superflow dyno. TRD blowers were factory stated to be 305hp at the crank. The AT drive train I thought was confirmed to be 18% based on earlier dyno charts. So the crank HP on the Magnuson would be pushing 335-340 Hp?

 

I agree. There is something off about those numbers. Especially because when you think about it, those numbers should be more around 240- 250 HP to the wheels if you factor in drivetrain losses, and there have been more than enough bone stock Tacoma's which have gotten dynoed coming in at 180- 190 HP to the wheels, so I don't know how they got their numbers.

 

That's the only way you should drive one of these.

 

can o2 sensors go bad without throwing a code? how about the maf?

 

They can go bad in terms of poorer performance but if performance gets too far off spec-it should start popping intermittent codes

 

Do you have an ultragauge? Not sure if a scangauge has the same feature but my ultragauge beeps if I get a pending code or a normal code. I was getting o2 codes with my old sensors but they would never turn the check engine light on. I decided to replace them when my ultragauge’s mpg was down by 2 mpg when normally its within .5 mpg. Happy to report I got my fuel economy back. So if you have the ability check it for pending codes every time you drive, you can check right before you shut the truck off just to be safe. Mine would always put a pending out after driving about 7 minutes if it was going to throw the pending, but it wasn’t bad enough to set off the check engine light some how.

 

Does the pending code get erased when the engine gets killed? Or is it stored until some threshold is crossed and triggers a CEL? Or stored for X amount of time before cleared if the theeshold isnt crossed again.
