What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

How does this 2wd low switch work? I would assume it would void dealer warranty however I am quite intrigued. And in the opposite side of the mountains for the installer.

 

Or save a little bit less…

The design is for the cord to hang between the two prongs. From Toyota.

 

I dont see how it would void any warranty...It selectively interrupts, or connects the signals as required to trick the ecu into thinking the front axle disconnect is engaged...here's the thread. I highly recommend!

You said it in your explanation: "..tricks the ECU into...". You're messing with their programming. (Not changing it, messing with it.)
The fact that you plug into, and interrupt, a factory wire harness also gives Toyota a reason for denial. They'd jump on that chance to take your money instead of providing free service to you. That's just how manufacturers operate.

I have the 2w Lo installed in my truck. Love it!

Your Tacoma color choice is phenomenal!

 

Gonna be a while. Not going to do it to the current truck because I'll be selling it in August-ish. I'm probably buying a bike in September that I'll be riding for the next 3 years, so I might do something that crazy to it and see how it turns out on a smaller scale. And it's definitely going to be a full-coverage job, not just the body lines. Body lines just looks stupid. Something closer to this:

 

i went to a dealer and ALMOST got a s5(glad i didnt now). they had a alarm for 1k and some $500 pulse BS. i told them take that BS off and come down to the price i was ok with and id buy it. the dealer pretty much told me to pound sand gave me his card and said if you want to pay my price call me. regardless to say i will never deal with that dealership again.

added a switch to the back for some "fishing lights" it got annoying walking to the cab of the truck to turn the light off when its blinding the fuck out of us all. so i wired up a simple little switch so i can be lazy.

 

I know….. I was just bored and being an ass.

 

Actually the sales manager told me he would give it to me at MSRP (I’ve bought a few Toyota’s from them over the years). It was tempting because it’s a manual! But I’d be afraid of getting trail rash with that color! They knocked off all the markup on my new taco and gave me top dollar for my ‘17 AC I traded in. But I know some dealerships think they’ve got you by the balls in the current market. Just gotta be patient and play the waiting game.

 

The paint and fabric was a $1k option?!
