Haha, thanks! What was in there before was hideous. Like 1970's hardware store, build your own lamp material. 20210725_151747.jpg

Figured when I purchased the car for $2,500.00 it make a fun toy. It's required much more work than I thought. But with should be near 500/500 HP/TQ with torque coming in at a low RPM , loud side exhaust, 4 speed, could be fun...most likely dangerous.

Rough couple weeks:(, baby girl's starting teething and is super fussy at night. I'm busier'n a bird dog at work and am dragging keyster.

I drove dad's 2500 ltz gasser around for a few days while my cv was getting swapped and its great, super roomy, throttle response, sound etc...I'll prolly keep rolling the taco for another year and stash money in the meantime so that when/if the second youngin comes I can sell the taco, throw a chunk down and maybe only finance a little.

Many years ago I looked at buying a 69 vette with a 4 speed.. I was too short to push the clutch pedal all the way in.. it's like those cars were built for giants! Probably for the beast since I was only like 19 at the time and already driving a 72 Chevelle

As much fun it is to sit and post here all day...my conscience tells me get to work :p
I've work a hour n a half since I got here. I need to get my work looked at so I can take the new guy under my wing and help him look at work he's been assigned to look at. All outage work packages that most are machinist support activities within other work groups.

I'm just not going to pay 70k for a half ton truck. It's sharp yes. But these prices are getting seriously out of hand.

I distinctly remember about 20 years ago now, my dad was in between buying a red z71 a couple years old, cloth seats for 24,xxx. He test drove a new Denali 1500 at the time which was like 30k. He bought the silverado.

In 20 years time truck prices have multiplied 2X+ but wages have not.

Tell me about it. I had no idea they were open that late but at least I didn't have to take time off of work for it. :)

    I got mine for $38,590.

This weekend I got an email that they'd give me $48,970 for it.

It's 2 years old with 11k on the clock.

Good start until you look and see no dealers in the immediate area have a Pro and the closest Pro in Minneapolis is selling for $55,123.

    Hard pass.

That is a very hard pass!

I bought a new gooseneck trailer in 2017, paid $5,800 for it. I looked at the same one last week, it's around $9,500 now. I had a guy ask me if I wanted to sell it recently, I said nope.

We can't find an Elantra to drive because they're all being sold before they even hit the lots.

In looking through reviews, the only thing that is a "negative" that I've come across is the acceleration is lackluster. Which for an 18 year old is just fine with me.

So we're going to pay the $500 down to order the one we want and get it built. They're saying it takes 4-6 months to get in. For a Hyundai! Just nuts.
