Several things have been out of stock for a few weeks now with a lot of truckers having gone on strike.

That is so cool! I've never personally got to see one like that up close, wish I could.

Completely unrelated, but I've got this guy on my shelf just for old skool nostalgia sake20220316_092036.jpg 20220316_092059.jpg

yeah that would be like having a colic baby that cries more often than not, I can't imagine going through that. Not that uncommon, too

At its worst she was regularly getting up 2x per night for maybe the first year, year and a half. Then once per night. These days she sleeps thru the night maybe 3 days a week, gets up once on the others.

The worst is when they're sick though, then no one in the house gets hardly any sleep

Yeah my son has colic. Shit sucks. Because there’s only so much you can do before it just gets to the point that all thats left is let him cry sometimes

:( yeah I've heard colic is way more common than most people realize. That has to be hard though...I guess the good news it usually goes away by 6 months I think? man that would be a long 6 months though lol. Sorry man

yeah man that can't be easy to deal with regularly

One fun thing I've learned the hard way recently is that when toddlers start learning to talk/communicate, they become prone to night terrors and really bad nightmares because of all the activity going on in their brain. Few nights ago it was my turn to get up with Sofia when she was crying at 1am, I swear I thought she needed an exorcism or something. Full on arched back flailing around, screaming and convulsing from crying so hard she wasn't breathing properly. Shit was scary AF. Thats when the doctor said it sounded like a night terror which is common around 2 years old.

Huh, no wonder I'm so efficient with my night terrors. I've had 30+ years of practice

It's seriously fucked up that humans survive so well. It really goes to show we top the food chain because if anything else made a show like a human newborn/toddler does they'd be long since eaten.

I love simplicity like that, easy to debug.

A lot of our customers come from relays and ladder logic. We’ve introduced Linux based stuff now and it’s an uphill battle to get their heads wrapped around something that has so many functions.

    Stuff. Also things.
Nice! That’s an awesome way to turn the day around!

    Damn. That’s a tough one!

Back talk sets me off pretty easily, but with crying you’re just like, “Why the hell can’t you just tell me what’s wrong?!?!”

    I know those feels.

Once in awhile we’ll pay the poor tax (mega millions lottery) just for giggles and then talk about how we’d use the after tax money for a life of leisure haha. Which, for me, would really just be spending my time tinkering with shit in a shop full of tools that I’ll never afford otherwise :D
