1 yes, 2 I would say is more along the lines of creating a large and permanent poverty class because wages would simply not be able to accelerate at the pace of dollar devaluation. This would very likely destabilize the country for obvious reasons.

The crazy thing, and the reason Im not invested internationally, is that everywhere else is *worse* and with less economically friendly environments (Euro states do love them some taxes and regulation). And they don't print the reserve currency their debt is denominated in.

At this point, my question is mainly "Who's stagflation is going to be the least intense?"

 

Here’s what you do: buy quality companies that pay dividends and you think will exist in 30 years, reinvest the dividends, ignore everything that happens during that time, and buy as much as you can. Preferably at discounts if you can. That’s boring but it will work out well.

 

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming of HELOCing at at a high interest rate and selling vital organs to buy more GME.

I am not in the GME camp and enjoy randomly telling those who are about safer investing strategies. There will be plenty of butt hurt and that’s kind of the goal I guess.
