I wish I could go camping again. At 70 my poor old body want to wake up in a soft bed now in a warm home. But if I want to enjoy nature I can just go down to my privet lake and park or look out my bedroom window? Guess I am spoiled to much in my old age! Just to much open area we own to drive to a place to camp. I am planning some trips this Spring/Summer with the Misses to just go look at the areas near us for Day Drives. We now have 120 acres started with 40 and added on over the last 25 years. Own just about all the land in the overhead taken summer picture now. White trailer is now gone we bought there 80 acres to the ridge behind it. So all the land from that ridge back to our home and further is ours now. Once you own land you just want more and more to keep people away.

two years ago exactly was the perfect time to buy one. they gave me way more on my trade than it was worth and 0% financing. timing is everything.

That's the dream right there. My wife and I are working on something similar, just with fewer large herbivores. I grew up raising horses and I don't ever want to do that again.

Nah. I ended up keeping them but I may switch up to some 57DR-X in gun blue or something in the near future.

I installed the flat black dash trim I bought from another member. Just the dash and radio surround pieces. At least so far. My goal was to eliminate the reflection off of the "gun metal" gray trim. Mission accomplished! Now I don't see the reflection in the side glass from those trim pieces. OTOH, I can now see a very slight reflection from the chrome trim on the AC vents. I suppose at some point I'll find some flat black trim rings and replace those as well.

    It never ends.

Nothing major, but had a small break between work and the kids getting home from school so I was able to pull the drums apart and blow out all the break dust and had a chance to spray my drum covers with steel-it. Yes I could have prepped it way better but I didn’t have much time and don’t care all that much. Plus I was able to order some new methods, hoping they come in this week.

Got these two goodies delivered. Now just waiting for my @Baja Designs 5 XL Linkable light bar to show up so I can get everything installed, and it is a long laundry list: Switch-Pro, Pioneer 8600 HU, front camera, Bob’s home link rear view mirror, BD amber fog lights, XL Linkable light bar, BD S2 lights for the rear, heated seats, reinstall new Meso BD5 NMO 3rd BL (with chase light), lighted visors. Want to tear everything apart just once for the electronics. I’m also going to be installing my ECGS bushing, moving my 5100’s to the 5th perch on the front and going to modify my MBRP exhaust a bit.

For the story on the @MESO BD5 NMO antenna mount you can see my post below. Just another example of how amazing @MESO is!

Added some blue ( go with my graphics colors ) interior accents along with some Clazzio covers. The red dial cover is obviously the 4x4 button, no mistaking grabbing it accidentally. Sure do miss the old transfer case shifter in the console.
And no more auto parts junk seat covers. Love um.

I gently peeled them off, sprayed a generous amount of goo gone onto a towel and wiped until I got all the residue off. I also let it dry for about 20 mins then I hit it again.

    Oh look, another mod....

Question: How is the road noise on the Toyo's? Did you have the Goodyear Kevlar's before, and if so...are the Toyo's better/worse/same?

yeah I had the Goodyears on prior to the Toyos. I’ve only had them on for maybe a month and I love them. Very quite for a all terrain. I have KO2’s on my F150 and they’re quieter then those for sure. I think you can see from the photos the Toyos are 265/75r16. I’m sure anything wider may be a tad louder but I like them so far.

Note to self, check and see if something is made from steel BEFORE getting a "great idea."

I have the rear overhead interior rack from meso customs, the honeycomb looking thing. I thought it would be a great idea to use magnets to mount some molle pouches to it. Easy on and off.

Well, its not magnetic, most likely aluminum.

But i was still able to use the velcro panels so i can rip my and the dogs first aid kits from the back when needed.
I like symmetry, but should probably put them both towards the driver side. Pouches are currently empty. Im collecting the dogs kit from a list my vet recommended. My kit is scattered in my backpacking room.....you can have entire rooms of your home dedicated to anything you want when you live alone.

I don't think the original ones are aluminum (non hex)

I feel that my 1/4" Aluminum plate is comparable in strength to theirs. Both of our designs have differences but ultimately I think they will offer the same protection.
