The Defender LTX M/S is a street tire. The LTX AT2 is the AT version. Both are great tires, and the LTX AT2 has very good pavement manners while still being an AT tire. If you spend most of your time on pavement and do the occasional dirt and gravel stuff they are the way to go. When my Toyo A30s wear out those are the ones I'm going with.

The payloads on the tire say yes it can hold that weight with the truck, but pressure would be at or close to max. I run my tires close to 50psi with the camper. Also, with stiffer sidewalls on an E rated you’ll have more stability. When adding 900lbs it’s good to have that breathing room for tire pressure and load capacity. Aired down without the camper can’t tell a difference with the E rated tire, although I came from a stiff suspension with wrangler beforehand.

Not sure exactly how much they weigh but you should be fine without an E rated. Some to roll with an E rated without a shell due to puncture resistance when off-roading too. Something to consider.

That’s a decent about of weight. I would ask others running that setup. Depending on where your taking it, I would at least get something better than SL.

I've had this conversation a lot it seems with friends. It's fine to keep what you already own, like Vodka, just don't buy new if you want to Boycott Russkies

Medium Duty OME with 885 springs up front, 5100's all around. Added airbags too with cradles so there is no risk of damaging the bags when off roading. I had the lift way before I bought the camper. Some just get the airbags and call it good with the Kimbo. Its nice having the better suspension though.

Michelin Defender LTX MS in an SL rating is what you want. I went the looks route the first 100k on my truck with two different set of AT tires... NOTHING compares to the smoothness /quietness / mpg / dry grip / wet grip/ ice grip / light snow grip of the LTX MS. AT tires plain suck for general day to day use, about the ONLY thing they are better at would be more aggressive offroading / looks, and even then my LTX MS's have NEVER been the limiting factor for my uses off road.

You're reading my mind; if/when my TRD Sport 6MT ever gets built, and assuming it comes with the Toyo A30s, I'll be swapping the OEM tires for a set of Defender LTX M/S within the first few hundred miles and putting them up on Craigslist.

I did this a few years ago with a car which came from the factory with Goodyear Eagle RSAs; selling the (almost new) factory tires recouped nearly half the outlay for the new rubber.

Another vote for either the Michelin AT2s or Defenders. I've had 3 sets of AT2s and am currently on my 2nd set of Defenders.

The AT2s are slightly louder on pavement. They have a little more of an off-road "look". The Defenders are actually better than they look on dirt, snow and ice. The built in siping really grabs ice and snow better than the AT2s. For me the Defenders perform better in handling, on-road traction, gas mileage, and durability. I really like the AT2 looks though and you don't give up much on the road. I've really never wish I had a different tire than the Defenders on dirt trails.

I like the Firestone Destination LE2s that came with my Sport. Nice quiet ride on the road and no problems in the snow...or at the beach.

I am on my second set of Terra Grapplers. Not as aggressive as ridge Grapplers.
I don't off road much but drive on wet grass and job sites.
I like them. They handle nice on road. mpg is pretty good, considering I went up a size.
$165 Amazon Prime, dropped at my front door.

Same here. Amazed at their performance in snow. 2 winters now & didn't even need to swap them out.
