How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

They’re out. There’s a thread on here with a bunch of people getting them in. I know of an unclaimed one in FL at msrp if you want info DM me. I passed on it to keep waiting for an OR.

oh wow, same here. I have an allocation request for a '22 TRD OR MT Lunar Rock at Shapen Toyota in Marshall, TX. I am in northwest Louisiana. I see you got your allocation in Little Rock and that isnt too far from me. I might put down a deposit at Landers if I dont hear any updates from my current dealership soon. Did they sell at MSRP?

 

I originally thought they were pretty cool but decided to look for an OR as well. Couldnt get one with the specs I wanted and a Pro fell in my lap so Im not looking just curious because they aren't on the spreadsheet either.

This is what I wanted as well but after 5 months with 3 dealerships I gave up. I wish Toyota would produce more MT's I saw an article from a few years ago and said only 5% of tacoma's were made with manual trans. looking at the current spreadsheet, its down to 2%

 

This is precisely why I am so adamant on purchasing a 2022. I am afraid that if I wait too long, Toyota may discontinue the MT for '23. I told my sales guy today that I would be fine with any color (other than white or black) as long as it was OR with 6 speed manual.

 

Im with you, the day toyota stops offering a MT is the day I stop buying new.

 

I had a delivery date of 3/25 on my white SR 4x4. Was told today that something happened — they don’t know what — and it now shows a 6/30 delivery date.

I’m thinking about cancelling and instead refinancing my 2WD 2020 that is nearing its lease end. Maybe in a couple of years this crap will be over with and I can just go pick out a truck below MSRP and buy it…

Finally picked mine up today. I’ve been trying to get a TRD Pro for about 2 years (first a Lunar Rock and then Electric Lime when I couldn’t score a LR). New shoes tomorrow.

Thanks man. They did mention that it could be a scratch or a dent or some other QC problem. The saleswoman was going to look at what she gets allocated this Friday and see if there’s anything comparable. Sucks to have to disappear after waiting.

I’m just glad I thought ahead instead of waiting until the end of my lease. I’ve seen a lot of folks on here who wrecked theirs or turned it in and now they’re stuck waiting without anything.

 

Where are you at? Wesley Chapel Toyota (tampa FL) has an army green offroad coming in in manual. I have been working with Mark there and he offered that to me as well as a trail edition. I don't want a manual so I passed. he told me they were putting a 2k markup but they were removing if people really objected.

 

I have been waiting for an allocation from 2 dealerships since novembe and january for an OR premium LR. Dealer called me a couple of weeks ago to offer the trail edition. I just couldn't pull the trigger, can't give up the push start and smart key.

Are the allocations to dealers just luck or do dealers have any ability to say hey I have a customer who wants X, what can you give me that is close? Cause if its just luck based then I'm afraid I'll never see my TRD OR MT in AG. The more I read here the more it seems MT's are hens teeth, let alone in AG or Lunar.

 

Nice, congrats. I do like the color, but can't help to think it would look better if Toyota kept the pro badges on the door too. Enjoy that!

 

Some dealers are higher volume, therefor have more opportunity for you to get what you want. Ordered my MT in late October, picked it up in late January.
