If it is a reputable place you are purchasing from, and you plan on doing the install yourself, then pay the extra. I bought the Pro-Truck 2.0 kit for this exact reason. I don't have a coil compressor, have no need for one outside of this job and didn't want the extra downtime associated with swapping and assembly at some other shop.

Yeah, I'm installing it myself and I'm ordering the kit from Bilstein so I guess I'll just get them assembled.
    Thanks!

So I received everything for the rear, shocks, block etc.. I got a tracking number for the coil overs but the package doesn't show any movement, tracking number only shows "Label has been printed, has not been pick up by UPS". So anyway I sent an email to Bilstein and got a response that it takes 4-6 weeks to assemble the coil overs. WTF?

I'd have them shipped unassembled with the extra parts you need, Take em to your local shop and have them throw the springs on for you. Just about every shop has a spring compressor these days

FWIW I got the Eibach stage 1(not 2.0 version) last month from wheelers and it took a week to assemble coils. But they didnt charge me any extra for the tophats/hardware or the labor to do it.

I forgot to update. I emailed back bitching about the time to assemble and got this response

    "Hello Joe,
Please disregard the above message. So sorry for the misinformation.
Usually, assembly of shocks takes 5-7 business day.
    Thank you"

So I guess all is good again. Whats funny is knowing my procrastinating ass the kit will probably sit in my garage for six months before I install it lol
The kit came with a diff drop kit, is it really necessary with a 2" lift?

    Yeah.
    My OPINION:

If your lift is mainly for looks, it can save some wear on your CV axles by getting them mostly level again. If your lift is for function, there's been reports here of bad things happening if you bash something hard. But I am sure there have been more people that have done the diff drop without issues than those that have had bad things happen. But with a 2" lift, I don't think it's really necessary.

Who makes the Eibach branded shocks? Are they made by Eibach or just rebranded Bilsteins?

    Yeah.
This made me curious, so I posed the question to The Google. The Google reports that both Eibach and Bilstein are long-time German suspension manufacturers. Looks like they both make their own stuff.

Eibach makes Eibach, and Bilstein makes Bilstein.

I had my Eibach's sitting in my garage since early October. I just installed everything 2 weeks ago. For me it was waiting for better weather. I was outside when I did the job.

That’s part of the reason I hadn’t done it. I’ll be in an unheated garage. Plus, I wanted to wait for warmer weather so if I encounter any issues I can ride my motorcycle to work while I sort them
Out. I’ll be doing it sometime
    soon.

    Yeah.
I think @E.J. runs this lift with OME's on the back.

I'm running the OME heavy Dakars, they are a little more lift than the Eibach's are labeled to handle but I haven't had any problems running this set up for about a year now.

I got the assembled coil overs today and have a question, thought I'd as it here vs starting a new thread.
Anyway, these two washers were in the box and I have no idea what they are for, they are 55mm OD. They are not on the instructions and since the coils are Eibachs Bilstein told me to ask Eibach and I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone over there. Any ideas. I'm thinking they are used to assemble the shocks to the coils.

You have the fully assembled Pro-Truck 2.0 Coil over? If that is what you have, then I don't know what those are for, my kit did not have those.

They look like the rear shock upper mount washer that hasn’t been stamped into shape yet....

Yes, thats what I have. They are fully assembled so I guess I'm not going to worry about those washers. I got all the stuff for the rear last week so its not part of that. I'll try calling them again tomarrow
