It took me a while to get over my feelings for this SUV:

You look like one proud dad. I miss the car seat days soooo much. What lucky kids Rollin with dad in the tundra PRO.. cherish those days bro, soon enough it will be basketball practice and trips to the go cart track!

Don’t get me wrong they can’t touch the 1st gen 4Runners (which were trucks)

Thank you, girl is 6 next week, and boy will be 4 in may, they love loading up in the truck for sure especially with the rear window all the way down, my son constantly just waves to people behind us with his little head barely sticking up to see out hah.

No money, all went to truck...
4 runner has more room. But I actually like the truck with kids. All the dirty stuff can go in the bed. Hauling all the beach stuff, hiking stuff, camping stuff, hard to do with a 4runner. My wife has a CRV so we use that when we need more people room.

Plus I'd go kicking as screaming before I get rid of my Tacoma for a 4runner...

That’s awesome. Key is 3 humans it’s possible- with 5 it’s not with an AC

You can't fit 5 humans in anything smaller then a suburban or Sequoia unless you want a sick van

tables at restaurants, rides on amusement parks always 2s or 4s a family of 5 requires a "6 top table" or 3 cars on a roller coaster.. translation longer wait times 4 everyhing... you want a nice big truck. If you try to cram 5 humans in a 4runner after being at the park on a 102 degree day.. your AC will never catch up your family will melt down and you will remember this post.

5s a tough number. Plan for 6 have extra room. Your life just got complicated. Get a gigantic new Sequoia.. accept it.

Your lucky man! You just broke the "big family seal" do it up! I'd have had 100 kids if my wife was up for it. Go be the cool "big family dad" with the Sequoia with rock sliders on it!

Maybe a Highlander with a 3rd row but it’s tight

I agree 4Runner it is. Not a bad choice it’s got the 4.0

I was thinking 4Runner too but waiting for them to change the ugly front end. Heard maybe 2023 it will be updated.

I have three kids - we have a 2012 Pilot and a 2014 Tacoma. Three boys in back seat of tacoma is tight. We are going to wait a year or two and buy a Sequoia and I could see a new tundra in my future. Just don't want to give up my manual transmission. Both great options - but I would go bigger -depending on how long you want to keep it.
