Yep, in 33 years we never saw a change just because we went to DST.

I had to retire my old gear last year and when we ordered new gear we changed to the orange stripes and upgraded the gear for more comfort. Because they cost about $5k a set only 5 sets were ordered last year and as we order more sets they will be the new style. My helmet is also 2 days old since I had to retire my old helmet so I made sure to get it a little color last night HAHA. NFPA and our insurance company say we have to retire things after 10 years so this is my 3rd set of bunker gear since I joined.

Just found this thread. Looks like some cool stuff going on. Looks like you have some nice equipment six5. Also helps that you know how to use it all, which is quite apparent. Couple questions, sorry not reading 2000 pages.... Are you powder coating those miniature farm implements, or is that paint? They look awesome.

Also as a Toolmaker/CNC programmer I got a good laugh out of your slotting pipe setup. Only thing that popped in my head was, "Clearance is clearance"

Welcome to the thread! The implements are powder coated, a friend has a powder coat company across the street and we trade stuff out, otherwise I'd spray it.

I usually bolt these pipes to the table with clamps and no vice, for only 2 pipes I figured I'd try it this way, so far so good!

We got a new cardboard dumpster recently and the door track was too wide so they welded it on. I cut it off and bolted a piece of steel to it. Good to go now. I throw boxes in it from the store and don’t always flatten them.

Sir... Donuts are not to be eaten with a fork no matter how messy they are. You will need to have another one and eat it properly this time

I needed to keep my fingers clean while working on the computer! I'll go back in a minute and take two more, for proper refresher training!
