I am banking on some blog posts clearing the first page of google at least haha

Thanks for the order! I've been going to the post office around 4 everyday so you'll get the tracking number soon!

I'm not gonna say no to dusting off the running shoes! They aren't just for running though, I've been using the khaki hat for daily wear and the gray/blue(cyan haha) for runs. It's a solid flow haha.

Hellcats are just freeriders with clip in stiffer soles basically.

Buddy of mine rides in Trailcross. They're more of a flexy trailrunning shoe you can ride you bike in. If a stiff sole is what you are looking for, I'd say that's not what you're looking for, but as an all day on and off bike shoe, it does quite well.

Had Kestrals, returned them as they pinched my lil toe. Hellcats have a more square edge toebox and were very comfy.

Shoes now a days are basically deforming peoples feet, no one has a pointy foot. lol

The Trailcross reviews seem to state they run narrow as well. I ended up ordering a set of Hellcats, we'll see how they do. I don't really want a stiff sole, I'll be running a pedal that has a decent platform with the clips built in, not like an ultra lightweight XC egg beater style pedal. I don't plan to walk long distances when I'm on the bike, but I'm not a great biker so hike a bike sessions are inevitable :anonymous: The Kestrals just squished my feet, which bothered me way more than the stiff sole. Sounds like the fit of the Hellcat will be perfect if it's similar to the Freeride. I'll get used to the stiffer sole, I just want to be able to feel my feet while riding!

I like my kestrels, but theyre def more of an XC shoe. My foot is just narrow enough to not be squished, but they are def tight vs my freeriders.

I ride in Freeriders but just realized I have a pair of Trailcross LT's I never wear. Ive ridden in them once and I liked them, I remember being them almost as grippy as my Freeriders. The Trailcross would probably good for wet days as they dry out quick.

Daylights savings has been great. Even getting home at 5, I have some time to get out for an hour or two.

It's a Honda Acty, full time AWD 5 speed. My friends and I are big into Japanese imports and he figured that the Kei truck would be a nice addition to his shop as a parts hauler / fun around-towner. Thing chugged up the "mountain" like a champ. The thing tops out around 65mph and it had no issue getting up the ~14% grade keeping up with traffic at 40. I live right near the West Hartford Reservoir so I usually end up just exploring around there! Only just now getting back into riding trails though.

    Whereabout in CT are you?

They're all basically the same. Everything is so miniature haha, the spacing between the pedals (and the whole foot area itself) is sooo small. I drove it around and it's the most fun you'll have going < 50mph in a vehicle
His Acty shares the garage with his '91 Skyline

Riding to work is starting to pay off. Still fat but my stamina is getting better and my rides are getting longer. Not gonna post weight loss until it hits -10. My legs felt dead & empty on even small grades last week but after a few days off that went away and I extended my pitiful loop up another climb today. The next goal is another climb and a lake loop after that. Maybe as a goal prize I’ll buy myself a dropper post when I can climb Tam again.
