Beautiful bikes!

These were my toys several years ago.

2004 HD Sportster 1200. This was my very first bike. Always wanted a Heritage Softtail Classic, but didn't wanna lay out $20K+++ for a bike. Friend of mine at work told me "You know, you can start with a Sportster for <$10K..." Fucker...... few days later he and I went to the local HD shop at lunch and I ended up with this beauty.

2005 Yamaha R1. The friend who actually taught me how to ride, went and bought himself a new Yamaha FZ1 after I bought the Sportster. He let me ride a few months later, once I had a few miles under my belt. It was so different than the Sportster (duh...) I ended up getting the R1 a year later, Yamaha was having some crazy good financing deals during the summer for a couple years in a row, and hence I ended up with the red road missile.

Ended up putting >50K total miles on two wheels the next 10 years. Sold them after I had a non-motorcycle related spinal injury that left me with nerve and spinal issues that made it a very dangerous thing to try to keep riding, but absolutely loved every minute of them both.

Over the course of my life and the 25 bikes I've owned, I believe I have put more miles on bikes than cars. I went 7 years without a car, just bikes.

I much prefer 2 wheels.

This was the Road Glide the day I brought it home in April of 2020. I had a small army with me when I picked it up..lol
