I’ll be honest, I’m bias since I’ve lived in FL for 5 years. I’ve heard there’s some beaches in Delaware you can drive on the beach and fish.

Greetings! I'm nurturing my beat up hands today from another round of ferd focus vs. human... ferd thought that it was a great idea to mount the clutch master cylinder onto the pedal box, getting my shop ape sized paws up in there to extract the pedal box has a lesson in pure frustration and semi-rage, I lost count of how many jagged edges of metal and plastic that sliced up my hands. Once I got the damned POS MC back on the pedal box and bolted back to the firewall, I finished removing the old hydraulic line to the slave cylinder, only to find that ferd designed it as a 2 piece line.. the dealership only sold me the upper half of the line because their parts drawing was so poor it looked as if the line were one piece, and I hadn't taken the god forsaken thing apart yet to realize that ferd managed to completely fuck up and overly complicate something as simple as a hydraulic line.

I had to send my GF home in my 4runner while I source the lower line today, which is looking like I need to drive to Cumberland to get it today. The local ferd dealership in Taneytown can't get it until Monday. Having ANYONE else drive my 4runner is something that doesn't happen.. to send her home in a vehicle that she has zero experience driving was nerve racking to the least. I did have her drive the rig around a bit to make sure that she understood where the controls were at and how to use them, but its still something that I was completely uncomfortable with.

 

I would have liked this post but no there is nothing to like about having to work on a ferd or letting someone drive your stuff lol. Hope you’re able to get that part!
At least your 4Runner is not a manual (maybe) or there would be more to worry about.

ferd... the original 4 letter word. I always laughed at their ad campaign from the 70's and 80's... " better ideas, built ferd tough.." fuck ferd. The 'better idea' was to keep your GM product or go buy a Toyota..
She's a cautious driver, but has NEVER driven a SUV or pick up. I tried to get her to take the Taco because it was more basic in dash board controls
( like her car ) and generally I don't care about it very much. The 4runner is basically unreplaceable at this point for me due to market prices.

 

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! If you're in Carroll or northern Baltimore County head over to Outlaw BBQ Smokehouse in Hampstead for some top notch corned beef grub. Had some for lunch, totally worth the trip.

 

Site 66, site 85 OF [over flow] in the spring dries up later, site 82, any down at Bonds Landing I think it's 90-97 don't quote me on that one. All of those sites have quick access to water. 66 is the furthest hike to get to the river. 85 OF is on a seasonal creek that they stock with fish.

 

Pretty sure thats most newer cars now a days. To change the alt in a Honda fit they had the entire front end pulled apart.

 

I have driven by that place quite often and have always wanted to try it. Since my company put cameras and gps in my work truck, I stick to fast food. Don’t want them to think I’m “not working” lol.

 

Car company’s don’t want customers working on their own vehicles.

 

It's only 1.5 miles from my house and with me working from home I lunch there frequently. They are opining Rocco's Italian Deli and Market across the street in a couple months. His family operated one in CT for years. If it's anything like the BBQ they will do well.

 

Yup they want to charge 185/hr to change the headlight bulb lmao
