How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Dealerships can "request" certain allocations from their distributor, but that doesn't mean they always get them. I think competition for certain models is pretty tight between dealerships with their distributors and the big volume places tend to get more of what they want than some others. If they don't get something allocated, they can also trade allocations with another dealership.

Congrats! I pick mine up tomorrow. Thankfully the Basketball tournament is keeping me preoccupied so I don't die from anticipation.

I just got a call from my dealer saying the Tacoma plant is having issues and the 4/5 build date for my Nightshade that I was given has been pushed out to June. He said they had two Pros in the same allocation and the same thing happened to them.

The temp VIN I was given still shows on the app so I don’t know what to think. ‍

 

Damn, that sucks. Sorry for your troubles. That's a long push. Hope things get back to the new normal soon, for all of us waiting.

 

Not sure what happened, but 24 hours after I got a call from my saleswoman saying mine was delayed until June, I'm seeing other people posting the same thing. And the website now shows that all colors on all the models I selected are "out of stock". I'd say the wheels just came off, so to speak.

 

Oh boy. I don’t like the sound of that. I was hoping to get mine by summer. Guess that may not happen. No build date on mine yet, happened to call the salesman earlier to just to check in and he had no news other than the allocation request is “confirmed with Toyota”.

 

Not good for orders that haven’t been filled….

 

I believe (I could be wrong) that the M/T Tacos are built in Guanajuato Mexico and the Autos are built in Baja California Mexico. The guy that posted about his Nightshade being delayed might mean there’s an issue at only one plant.

 

I’m in the same boat. I hate to hear that happened to you also but makes me feel a little better than it’s not just something specific with my local dealer.

 

Looking at the Build site, it seems like it's only the Limited that is having an issue, showing Out of Inventory. The other grades don't have that problem, both AT and MT. I was able to build the OffRoad that I specced out without issue, in the MT that I want, and with an Auto. Doesn't really mean much I guess, but hopefully whatever factory issues you heard of get resolved soon.

 

Damn, here we go again... for the fourth time now, my delivery date has been pushed back again. Now the eta is { currFromDate: "2022-04-09", currToDate: "2022-04-14"}. It's now been delayed over 6 weeks from original delivery date.

 

Does the dealer know where your truck is??

 

After searching other states, I finally made a deal with my local store on 3-3 for an SR5 in blue crush, which I told them was my only color choice, and they said it would be up to 60 days, so I went home for the deposit came back paid them, and they said great news we found one, and it’s two weeks out! Next thing I knew, it arrived at the dealer this past Monday 3-14!

Now I’m just waiting on leather and window tint before I take her home.

Super excited, but I also feel super lucky and blessed.

This is my first ever new vehicle, and it feels good to be bringing back a Tacoma to the home since my 15 was totaled a few years back.

I haven't heard from my salesman since 2/4/22 the day after she was built. I just use the web developer tools to tack it.

 

Just saw miles go up and tire pressure change in app. First movement in almost a month. Hope this means theyre loading her up to transport

 

That’s weird that my truck is close and I still have no mileage, gas or tire pressure in the app. I changed all my phone security settings for the app and still nothing. I am not worried but still weird.

No I just found one in kansas that had not been claimed yet.

And to everyone looking for specific models if you dont see your color/build options its because there are none in the pipeline. Start searching other states and check regularly like every day. They pop up randomly. I was able to find several lunar rock from sr5 to trd premium OR. I saw quite a few premium TRD OR in several colors all coming between 3/29-4/4 & a few weeks later in april.
