Since she won't elaborate, let's wildly speculate.

I'll start.

Shauna was backing up and a light pole jumped out at her as she sneezed, slamming down on the gas pedal in reverse.

 

depending on how bad the dent is, you can probably do a paintless ding repair. Suction cups and some force may pop it right out

 

Might be worth it to go through insurance.

 

I am certainly no expert, nor do I have any clue in body damage / repair costs.... but I would be willing to bet you are looking at a minimum of $2,000 in repair costs just from the pictures you shared.

As to what happened...
My theory is that she was backing up into a parking space. It was very early morning, so pitch black. There was a large tree behind her, but it was easily visible in her rear view mirror, and backup camera view. When she got within maybe 18" of the tree trunk... BLAM!! she hit something, but couldn't tell what, since nothing was visible in the backup camera view. She got out, and found that tree directly behind her actually had a large fork right at the base of the trunk at ground level, and one of the main trunks had been sawn off about 18" above grade. Being pitch dark, and at just the "right" height, it was not within the backup camera's field of vision, hence she never say it, and that's what she hit. Tree trunks were both about 12" in diameter.

Oh, wait..... that was what happened to me about 2 years ago. All it did to my truck was tweak the passenger side bumper cover so it doesn't sit normally any longer. Since the cover is still attached, I haven't bothered to do anything about it. But every time I drive past that same parking lot where that !@#$%^ tree still stands, I give it a look.

 

Nah. I’d heard a similar version before and knew what was coming.

 

She has the parking sensors so either she shut the feature off or ignored it.

 

Random moon yesterday

 

She was trying to avoid capture and was racing wildly through the streets. Endangering the public safety. The police were forced to use the PIT maneuver and finally brought her to justice and ended her vodka induced rampage.
