From sitting behind a desk for 20 years, to running this machine every day now.

Interesting change to say the least.

From sitting to standing for 8 hours a day, is a big big difference.

(ignore my undies, I am having a hard time getting my clothes to fit right. :bananadead:)

No we retread used, beat up tires.

Or in this case, as the customer wanted, we were modifying existing tires they had, and sent to us. We do what we they pay us for, everyone has different needs, and requirements for tires.

PSA: to everyone DO NOT GO to the trails until MAY 1ST! I know everyone is itching to dip their tiny tires in the puddles and use fancy lightbars, but let's not be those guys before MAY 1ST.

    Mostly stock for now...
That is really Interesting! - Nice to see them when the rubber is all black and shiny
There is just something about working on equipment with tires that are 8' tall and one tire/wheel combo weighs more than the entire vehicle you drove to work in...

Not only do they weigh more...

they cost more than our trucks too.

Don't let Norilsk in there, he'll be trying to bolt those tires upto his truck. :sawzall:

You could crush his soul and put some 42" tires beside those... and take a pic.

    Check build thread!
I have one of the loveable misfits of the motorcycle world- an 09 Kawasaki Versys 650. Not a true dual sport, not really an adventure bike, and not really a touring bike. I love it, and it does everything for me.

It's come time for me to put new tires on it, front and rear, and as someone fairly new to the street bike scene (15 years on dirt and dual sports tho), I have no idea where to go.

I ride about 20% dirt (dirt roads, sometimes more single track type stuff, but at worse loose gravel. No mud or anything of the like) and 80% highway/2 lane curvy highway. I'm never really tracking it. I ride on average 30-40km a day for commuting, with longer rides sprinkled in on the weekends.

What should I be getting for tires? I've got a 150/70/R17 on the rear and a 120/70R17 on it right now as for
size. Tires on it currently were put on by the previous owner and are cheap garbage lol. I'd like to stay with the stock size for ease of replacement but if going up in diameter of width gets me a better tire I'm not opposed. Price doesn't matter, it's tires, I'll spend whatever gets me the best tire.

I know this isn’t exactly a motorcycle forum but I figured I’d stick it here anyways

Thank you for taking the time to read this slightly ramble like blurb lol. Hopefully someone can help me out.
