You can probably hold off on the axle shims until you see how your truck shakes out after the lift. I haven't needed them and a lot of others report the same.

It's good to do the needle bearing replacement preventatively since it's pretty common to have an issue and you'll already have basically everything out of the way when you're replacing the front suspension

I installed a 1 inch blocks in the rear

You can see right above the block, there is a factory shim. I left that in place. I have zero driveline vibrations.

I also did the ECGS bushing install, more for my peice of mind, I would hate to have to go back in to replace it later...

    Again, zero issues...

you may not need shims, but rule of thumb is 2-3 degree shims for a 2-3 inch lift.

I’ve been obsessively reading the past few weeks. A friend told me I’ve spent more time on a 2in lift decision than he’s ever seen lol!

    here’s what I was thinking

    spc ucas
    Eibach 2nd notch
Wheelers 2in aal OR med dakars
Read bilsteins with extended brake lines

    OR

    eibach first notch
    Ucas
    1.5 rear aal

    I can’t decide

I’m just getting into off roading

I know I don’t want to go too wild off road but I do want to be able to push it some. And obviously camp etc

Right now I’ve got 265-75-16 ridge grapplers with 16x8 -25 Fn five stars coming
(Heard back and forth between sl and e) sl should be ok right?

this is my daily driver as well. But I do feel limited with tire choice with 16s. But figured since my tires were new I’d roll with it for now

So if you are not gonna be doing serious off roading... maybe watch this video

    https://youtu.be/huMztKaHsUE

I think you would be fine with Eibach on the first notch and a 1.5" block in the rear... no UCA's.

I would never recommend an AAL. They just sag out over time. If you want more weight capacity then go for an Icon RXT leaf pack or OME depending on your capacity needs.

I did put on UCA's but really it was more an impulse buy for me, and I know it.

You are over thinking this. Go more basic and you will be fine and your bank account will be happier.

Dude we live in the same world.
    1. Can't decide on SL/C vs. E rated tires. Leaning towards Falken Wildpeaks SL in 265/75/16. SL cause my offroading is mainly easy to mid-moderate trails and I plan to keep it that way. This also is my daily driver. and want to keep to rotational weight down. Concerned on SL durability though if I get onto a trail I underestimated.
    2. Looking at Bilstein 6112 up from at 1.5" setting / Rears Bilstein 5160 or 5100. I have 250 pounds added weight with a topper and some tools and some have recommended the 5160s with external reservoir as insurance to over heating. Part of me here though wants to go to the 2" setting but then I worry if I need new UCAs or not. I feel like I will go with 1.5".
    3. I ditched the AAL idea months ago. Getting Icon RTX leaf pack, looking at option 2 which gives 1.75" lift with 200 pounds added weight. So I should get just under that with 250 pounds.

Have you checked out the eibach lift? Think I’m doing that up front with extended bilsteins in the back

and you have a soft topper? How do you like it?

No on Eibach lift and don't get me thinking anymore!!!! I focused in on Bilsteins pretty quickly. First looked at 5100 for front due to price and lift, but moved to 6112 after doing more research and people using the term "buy once, cry once" and I felt like the 5100s were not much of a step up from the 4600s on the Offroad except for the lift.

Sorry by topper I meant a shell. So many different terms one can use. It is an ARE MX shell which is mid-high rise with about 4-5" more head room. I camp in the back on solo trips and wanted the extra headroom - I am glad I did it makes a big difference. I considered a soft topper due to cost and weight, but in the end knew I would be paranoid about the lack of security and went with a solid shell.

Lol!! Check out the eibach forum. I was set on bilstein too but sounds like we are in the same boat and eibach is solid.

And I’m trying to figure out the right rear for a shell too.
