My AT was built in Guanajuato in February.

 

lolz What’s the VIN on that Pro? Maybe it was built in Texas since it’s a 2020.

 

You made me laugh so hard with this post. I ordered a set of 4 of these off of ebay. My boys and I got them today. We plan on custom painting 2 electric lime in honor of our new truck. 2 stay in the box.

Got an update from my dealer today. Trucks on the ship heading here to Hawaii now! Should be picking it up in two weeks or less

I've been calling all over the state/region to try to find a truck. Had a guy from Miami tell me he has a TRD Sport coming. When I told him I wanted an OR he said this one has the offroad package as well. So i told him to send me the build sheet... it's a 4x2 sport. Told him I'd only want a 4x4. He asked if he had a pro coming in, if i'd take that instead. I said sure if it's at MSRP. So he says, well none of our vehicles are at MSRP. Told him I'm not paying any more than MSRP. Says nobody is charging MSRP. I live in Tampa and 75% of dealers here are charging MSRP, so i tell him that and he just started mumbling and tripping over himself. killed me with the sport/offroad package comment. get lost pal!

 

That's fucked lol, "offroad package" but no 4x4 lol. Idk if you're willing to travel but I know of an electric lime manual pro in PA supposedly unclaimed and coming in april

 

I'm looking for a TRD Offroad. In Florida and it seems like no 4x4 are coming here, all are presold unless they're going to a $5k above MSRP dealer. I have had a deposit down since november with one dealer, and january 7th with another dealer. I requested lunar rock, LED lights, advanced tech... and nothing. I had a chance to get that same build in white a month ago and i was scared off by the white paint issues, and i regret not jumping on it. I'm starting to get worried this is going to drag on forever. people on here requesting end of january already getting trucks. sigh

 

You've got the right idea to lay eggs in different baskets per se. You may want to reach out to dealers in different states as the distributor has a funny way of how they allocate vehicles. You could do some research on the spreadsheet and look at TRD Off Road Lunar Rock Models and see which dealers have received them in the past and make note. Getting your ideal truck these days will more than likely require a one way plane ticket or require a private auto transport to deliver to you if you're not willing to travel. It would appear that the Northeast and Midwest would receive more TRD Off Road 4x4s with the climate and terrain within those areas.

Update 3:
2/3/22: Dealer notified me they were allocated the exact truck I wanted (2022 TRD Pro MT in Black)
2/5/22: Went in and met with salesman
2/8/22: Put $1000 deposit down. VIN shows a week 9 build, they are expecting the truck delivered in April sometime.
3/8/22: Truck built. Provided with permanent VIN from dealer. Temp VIN no longer works on website or app.
3/15/22: Truck finally reported data to the Toyota app. Shows 0mi and 1/8 tank of gas.
3/18/22: Toyota website is now updated from no ETA to showing an ETA of 4/13 - 4/18 and app now shows 1mi on the truck.

 

Temp VIN still works in the Toyota guest website. It had a build date of 3/14 and nothing yet

 

Mine either. They say 3/17 ETA at dealer, but the Temp VIN still work.

 

What’s your estimated delivery date? Did the dealer tell you, or are you going off the ETA through the developer tools website?

Jealous! Starting to get a bit worried about what’s going on with my truck. Supposedly built 3/3. Have a permanent vin. Dealer doesn’t have a ETA to give me. No update on the app, and still no ETA on the website.

 

I have been periodically making a blitz of calls to dealers i find on the sheet. bc of your comment i just called a place outside atlanta who has a lunar rock trd off road coming in tomorrow, tech package, no deposit. they told me MSRP. They're sending over a build sheet right now for me to look at. She said i could put a deposit down and come get it tomorrow. I'm weary about them trying to add market adjustment once i'm there. we'll see what they send over. fingers crossed. 45 min flight and an 8 hour drive back wouldn't be too bad.

EDIT: flying to atlanta, deposit was just placed !
