Make that air-conditioning (Couldn't care less if it has automatic climate control) and a killer stereo system for me!

I wish I would have had this RAV before the stupid snowstorm last Saturday; I'm really curious to see what this thing can do!

Just bought the XLE AWD a couple-a-few weeks ago. I'm sitting here at the tire shop right meow getting new wheels and tires. Falken Wildpeaks and some KMC Treks.

Here's a before.....can't wait for the "after" pic!

I get in my 2011 Tacoma, push clutch, turn key and release to the satisfying sound of a engine starting up. Good to go!

I get in my wifes rav4 hybrid and push brake, start button and all hell breaks loose! Lights flash, buzzers and bells sound in, computers boot up, servos whizz, solenoids click followed by a "ready" display. Always in the back of my mind, wtf am I going to do if just one of these things don't do it's thing.

LOL! Not sure about that but it has crossed my mind. I sunk several hundreds of dollars into a real nice Yakima Skybox for my '18 Escape which I no longer have after turning it into my Tacoma so that's here ready for use. I'm not sure how much roof stowage I'll be needing at this point so anything more than what I am equipped with currently would be overkill in the foreseeable future. They look cool, though but no doubt come with a mileage and likely a noise penalty.

I mean, you can always store some kind of tools or light outdoor gear up top. Or just throw it all in the Skybox on the rack, lol.
I was essentially in the same spot you are in, I didn't really need the storage space, but I just put tools and recovery gear up there, even though the times I used either is minimal.
799 without a light cutout, 829 with. Noise isn't that bad (in the tacoma at least) I have an older version, so I have more noise than others do, but pretty un-noticeable until roughly 75+.
On the plus side, you get loads of style points.

As a daily driver for my better half that parks in a faculty lot at her high school, I'm a little sketched by having any accessories bolted down that can be unbolted relatively easy. My new Diode Dynamics drivers are safe since they're securely ensconced in the fender. :D I'm just afraid to dangle any jewelry in front of the n'er do-wells.

This morning the cat was sitting on my lap when a military plane flew over and set off a Sonic Boom, she tore my legs up leaping off.

the first time I sat in a vehicle with air conditioned seats, that really was an interesting experience. My moms 07 Lexus ES350 with the 2GR-FE. Amazing Toyota can make a car that’s 3 years older than my taco and it has heated/cooled seats from the factory and disc rear brakes. Here we are sending civilians to outer space and I’m riding around with rear axle technology from the early 1900s

Butch, the guy who has fixed my trucks after numerous mishaps that weren't my fault, works on everything; This includes everyday vehicles like Tacoma, luxury cars (including a Bentley), and classics like this 1960 Dodge Polara that he currently has in The shop!

So, @shakerhood already knows about this because I told him via text message; I lost the keys to the RAV4 and almost gave on finding them!

    :anonymous::annoyed::spending:

I broke down a wooden pallet at work on Thursday and unknowing dropped my entire set of keys underneath the RAV; This set included an OEM Tacoma key, a house key, a key to my bed toolbox, both key fobs for the RAV, and two highly irreplaceable keychains with sentimental value. Take a look below...

    E3CC9D7E-AC8B-4EEF-8CBB-34C159E700C5.jpg

I ended up having to leave the RAV overnight and went home with my dad, after taking out my frustrations by kicking the dumpster numerous times; I was gonna have the RAV towed and get a replacement rental, but the local Enterprise places were all closed and the rep from corporate was this foreign guy who spoke poor English and was kind of an asshole; Due to a miscommunication, a tow truck ended up being sent, but not the lockout service. The tow truck was cancelled, and AAA sent a guy to unlock the RAV. Even though the keys were literally right there, even the AAA guy couldn't find him. It was my supervisor Tia who ended up going out for a closer look and and finding them while I was at a doctor's appointment and less than an hour from initiating a chain of events that would have resulted in me paying hundreds of dollars to replace the keys!

I ended up getting roadside assistance, which covers key replacement, for an extra five bucks a day; For piece of mind, I'd say that's worth it!
