    scenario
I am replacing the rear view mirror with a 12 inch rear view screen camera thingy
URVOLAX OEM 12" Mirror Dash Cam
so I took off the old mirror and disconnected it
The new rear view has a power cable that connects to a plug for a cigarette lighter I am assuming 12 volt ????? am I correct that would be like the standard power ?
I would like to know if the plug I disconnected from the stock mirror is also 12 volt so I can just use that to power the mirror dash cam

Yes it is 12 volts. Here is a diagram for 2016. Not sure if it is the same for 2022. It's a starting point though.

Verification with a multimeter will confirm if it is the same.

You truck doesn't have an oem back up camera? I thought all trim levels came stock with at least a rear view cam.

    Dash cam it seems.
Curious how it looks? I've seen some before but never liked the way they were designed.

Yes, it has 12v power. I use an adapter that someone sells on Amazon to break off a 5v USB for powering my dash cam. Good luck with the project, dash cams are always a useful mod.

Oh it's a dash cam, I guess I glossed right over that part.
Why replace the mirror just get a Garmin mini and a Dongar dash cam dongle
