Well… I finally got my black manual DCSB TRD OR today. And by the end if the night, I already installed my pedal commander, Pro grill and Pro skid. Fox/Icon and 285s next week when I have time. I have a problem.

What about bolt in an earth magnet to the light itself and then into the fender well, all you would have to do is remove the light afterwards and unclip the power cord, or are they wired direct?

Does anyone know if the TRD skid plate is universal meaning it will fit on any 2022 Tacoma model or just the OR and Pro? Thanks!

Does the pro skid plate mount up easily or do you have to modify anything? i have always wanted to know that answer.

Bolts into factory holes, hardest part is just holding the thing up while you ratchet it on.

Any dealer parts website you want, the FREESHIP code will be helpful right now. It fits any 3rd Gen, And it’s easy to install you replace two factory bolts (and factory “skid” plates) as you install and the rest bolt into existing unused holes. It comes in that whiteish color but a lot of people end up powder coating it black, may check Craigslist for a used one as well. I used the leg method this guy shows and it worked nice and easy. Torque the 4x 17mm bolts to 33 ftlbs and the 2x 12mm bolts to 21 ftlbs

Not the OP but this is what I did.
Get front end up high enough to work safely underneath. After removing the tin OEM skid plates clean the bolt holes and then spray with WD-40 or something similar to make it east to put the new bolts in. Use a mechanic's creeper to lay on and then lay the Pro skid plate on your belly. Roll underneath and align the rear bolt holes up and put the rear ones loosely in first. Then the middle bolts and front bolts last. Square up the skid and tighten all the bolts.
Note, these units also fit 2nd Gen Tacos.

So far we like it a ton. Spent 4 nights in it so far. Only add one are L Track on roof for rack if I ever want to put one on and 2 of the 1/2 slide windows. We will probably make our own insulation panels for the tent. The first 2 nights were in low 20s and I didnt bring the winter bag
