I didn’t have ramps so I just jacked it up and put it on jack stands but it’s definitely worth it to get that extra height. I just got the front two bolts barely started, then rear, the middle ones lined right up. I will probably add the RCI aluminum trans skid later.

Did you figure out the dome light setup? Where did you run the wire into to cabin or engine bay?

    Thanks!

Appreciate the heads-up for that situation. I guess I'll just have to be quick with my hat to cover it before Johnny Law gets to my window.

    • Diode Dynamics LED map and dome lights
    • Rear VLED LED footwell kit (not 100% in love with my install, but given the limitations of my truck I'm pleased)
    • (crosses fingers) Solved my amp wiring issue
It's now 70° out so I'm going to get it cleaned up and hopefully enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

I was curious about this as there seems to be this simple and affordable solution. However, I'm not sure how real the problem is? :goingcrazy:
    https://www.superprepper.com/will-cars-still-run-after-an-emp/...
Would an EMP Attack Disable all Vehicles?
No, an EMP attack would not disable all vehicles. According to a study conducted by the United States EMP Commission, only about 1 out of 50 vehicles are likely to be rendered inoperable. The effects of an EMP on hybrid and electric vehicles, however, have yet to be studied and is currently unknown.

I have the same setup minus the viper cut. You will be okay on road but if you go off roading a lot will want the CMC. I have been looking at doing the viper cut as well.

Isn't that an HPA tank? How much pressure are you running in your system?

Question for anyone running 33’s or (285/75/16) in my case. If you do a viper cut can you run spidertrax wheel spacers and be okay without a CMC? Have king 2.5s on as well..
I just did a viper cut on mine, just for looks, but already had the CMC done. I have the 1.25" spacers and the 285/75/16's too. I suppose (read as I don't know) you could move castor forward disproportionately to avoid the mount? You'd have to ask an alignment guy. But that said, getting the chop done is pretty simple and affordable.

currently I am running 33s with 2.5 kings and viper cut with spidertrax 1.25 spacers and I barely hit the CM. I’m getting a CMC next month that is so aggressive you can run 35s and not hit the cab mount

I’m waiting to do the CMC when I upgrade to new wheels tires.. year or two.. I do off road a lot so running may be an issue.. damn may need wheels and tires sooner…

Yes! I tapped the ground from the drivers A-pillar. But my concern is that the wire for the dome is very thin. Not sure if it can handle the load of all the rock lights? I may use it just to trigger the relay. (Unfortunately that will make it just on and off)
It will still sense the key fob and come on automatically. but it won't fade on/off.
I'm still trying to figure that part out. But it will still function as courtesy lights.

    It was a freebie, I'm a welder:rofl:
Me and a friend installed lift and did CMC at same time. I'm told $150 to $300 depending upon impact of COVID, supply chain issues, war in Ukraine and inflation in general!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Here's a pic with 285/75/16 showing viper cut and CMC w/Toytec lift...
