Want to have a fun few beers discussion....

Suze Orman's advice to stay the F away from traditional IRA....Argument being "You don't think the tax brackets will shift to cover all this debt?" argument being as more and more people retire and wealth is locked up in zero income lowest tax bracket withdrawals they'll raise the tax on the taxable withdrawals...
SO pay your taxes now, and withdraw tax free...
So when they totally agree with that...come back with
ANnnnd Yet...the power of compounding....The greatest amount of money you can invest now yields the strongest return, and even if your taxes went up 3% that extra 20% tax free now, invested over time will be so much more than the post tax invested money...

Suze Orman is a fool if that is in fact her advice. You need Traditional AND Roth AND Taxable accounts if you want full diversification to hedge tax risk.

Oh, but of course you can. You just have to jump the hoops correctly.

Yep. You also have to make sure that the hoops your jumping through now are the same ones you want to be jumping through 10 years from now. Other than that, easy peasy.

Got in more shares at $78. But don't worry, it'll lose -16% one random day and be back there again

Or just backdoor Roth ladder that shit and control your income each year to keep your taxation minimized.

But yeah, there's options. Backdoor Roth. SEPP. Etc.

My diversification in the boomerfolio is 70% total US stock, 20% total US REIT, 10% gold.

    VTI finished up 1.17%
VNQ finished dead flat, to the penny.
    GLDM finished down 0.91%

    I think it's working.

It’s all good, Russia is seizing all the assets of foreign companies that are still over there. This is the fun stuff that makes the world go round :D
