I just read 13 hours the story of Benghazi by Mitchell Zuckoff and the annex security team!

Good account by the operators on the ground!

Avoiding the politics for the most. Good read while not really going into tactics that might get people killed.

So book 2 explained it. but I'll be honest, character development does not equal regaining a personality. That's just lazy writing in my opinion. Well the overall story is semi interesting and I read at work so, time to kill. :playball:

Finally got a house and working on getting it ready to move in so, my books have been shelved for the time being while I'm staying busy. I did score the audiobook version of Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules For Life that I've started listening to while I'm working, it's been good so far. I could listen to that guy narrate just about anything.

Also, if anybody has new poll ideas let me know!

Just finished Station 11, by Emily St. John Mandel. Written in 2014 about a flu that quickly came and wiped out 99% of humanity. Honestly if it weren't for covid this book would not be anywhere near as popular as it is. I gave it 2/5 because it took people 20 years to get even the simplest form of electricity running. Like come on? Even without access to fuel, people would be rigging up water wheels as generators in no time.

Anyway, I'm also reading a book about how to build a teardrop trailer, it's awesome. I want to start my own build later this year I think, except for something a bit more off-roady.

None of the above. I have had an audible account forever. I can listen to a book while working, cleaning, cooking, driving, hiking. I listen to about 50 books a year. A narrator can make or break a book.

    Listened to this podcast.... https://www.prodigypodcast.com/episodes/whats-wrong-with-ted/

Which features FBI profiler James Fitzgerald and decided to get his books which i am about to finish the first one of. Also got the graphic novel of Ted Kaczynski's manifesto which i can only digest about a page or two of before bed. The artist did an incredible job IMO.

Finished "About Face" by Colonel David Hackworth. Long book but a good read. It's frustrating to see our country failing to learn from mistakes we've already made.

Starting "The Battle of Blair Mountain" by Robert Shogan.

Finished the last book of Rise to Omniscience called Soulstream by Aaron Oster. Was a good ending to the series. Supposedly going to be a spinoff series set decades later that I may have to check out called Path to Omniscience.

The Survivor by Kyle Mills who took over for Vince Flynn after he passed away. His character, Mitch Rapp is an all-around bad ass.
