Rain was done by they time we arrive at 7. It’s been crazy windy all night. We’re parked outside Turn 2. Somebody was turning laps on the track last night. I could tell it was a Cup car from the distinct bark of the exhaust. Good news: They were lifting in the turns.

Watching practice, this is what all 1.5 mile tracks should do.

Watched Cup practice this AM. The track really is racing like a superspeedway. Gonna get interesting with the bump drafting though it seemed the only place to get a passing run was to carry momentum on high side through 3-4 and fam out into dogleg, which, including the apron, is 8 lanes wide.

Not a fan. I already don't like watching Daytona and Talladega because of this, but I can understand it there. Not a fan of it at 1.5 mile tracks.

I like close racing, hate it when they get strung out. Strung out racing, is boring racing.

Boring racing is also running single file and being useless by yourself. Variables = good. Wide open needing the draft = not great.
