That area is straight up Brazilian! Hoboken has no good spots that I know of and I was there all this month working. They are driving all of the small mom and pops out for chains. Its sad. The best authentic mexican food I have ever had other than TJ was in Vegas actually. Im not impressed with the food here in NJ. I don't eat italian food really either.

Ive heard that newark/elizabeth has the best brazilian bbq in the country but Ive been to the spots that are supposed to be good and i wasn't impressed. The shit ive had in carne cooked on a metal grate in a backyard was so much better! It can never be too piccante!

I used to live in san ysidro. I could walk in and take cab to the spots. Used to just crush tacos and mulitas among other things! When you got your spot you got your spot!

Guys.... this powerpack at work has really got my gears turning.

    20220317_101534.jpg

Many years ago, before the first recession in '08, I was working for a heavy equipment rental house. Part of their business model was ground up refurb jobs on Genie man lifts. Strip em down to bare frame, repaint, rebuild all components and replace everything that needed it, then resell em. It must have been profitable cause that portion of the business was always busy (up until the recession, they still had work, but not like when I first started)

I've put 30+ hours work into this thing just to give a 100% accurate repair quote and the customer approved the rest of the repairs without batting an eye. Apparently it's better to spend 15k on a repair than 40k+ on a new unit.

Now I wanna incorporate what I witnessed almost 20yrs ago into my own business with this industry. On the fence tho cause they'll be a steep learning curve, plus concrete guys beat the shit out of their stuff and ill be fabbing alot of new brackets and panels/guards. Who knows if it would actually be profitable of I'm doing myself in a mom and pop type setting? Maybe I need to focus more on development of new electric equipment since the world seems to be going that way.. crazy to be so deep down the rabbit hole for this... Thanks for reading if you did

Man, big co's need to write shit off for taxes so they buy expensive new shit. You would have to focus on the small rental market or small co's. Its kinda fucked up that it makes more sense to throw shit in the garbage and buy new but that is the world we live in. There is also the foreign market. Equipment like that prob bring big money outside the us.
