Icon RXT is this normal?

Got the icon rxt leaf pack installed in the 3rd option which has the extra leaf. The passenger side has a little bit of a gap in between the leafs is this normal?

 

I’ll double check the torque but they are placed correctly. I’ll prob give icon a call to be sure.

 

Are the galvanized steel plate put between each leaf?
Edit: looks like that third leaf might have a slightly different curvature to it, but hard to tell.

 

Option 3 would have all 8 leafs in, and placing the extra leaf between the 2nd and 3rd leaf.

How much weight are you carrying in the pic? It looks like the leafs are flexed a little flat in the pick too. (Or the (AAL) leaf for option 3 is upside down)

The extra leaf should have some curve to it. Did the installer place it in upside down? Are both sides of the truck like this?

I know that the pads at the end are really easy to remove and clip into a hole, maybe it was installed wrong on the leaf and then the installer put it in upside down.

These are just my theories without looking at it in person. I have done an ICON AAL before for a client. The Icon 3 AAL doesnt have the metal silencer pads by the center bolt like stock does.

 

This is option 2 with the weight of a canopy/200lbs of sandbags/ and around 75 lbs of gear.

 

Only one side of the truck. But this is the side closer to the back door. The back side looks normal (no gaps). Went under the truck to get a better look at it and from what I can see Both sides look like they were installed the same. Unless there’s something that I am not seeing.

 

Not that much weight yet. Only about 300lbs. Was planning for the future which is why I added the extra leaf

 

I think it will settle with some more weight... if your driver side doesn't have those gaps it might be due to the weight of the gas tank.

just curious... what's your hub to fender measurement side to side in back?

 

Do you mean like the hub measuring horizontally to the fenders?

 

Vertically from center of wheel up to bottom fender. Sorry for the confusion... side to side meant driver & passenger side.

 

Both sides are at 26” even from the bottom of the hub where I marked with the red line. Was an at 24” before with the stock leaf pack and block.

 

Just did mines today with option #3 and the number 158505 with the extra spring has to face the same orientation (the rear). Hope this helps.
