Stock lights aren’t full LED.

 

How would that make a difference for getting condensation inside? My OEM headlights are full LED, no condensation.

 

I went through this with some Alpha Rex lights and I wasn’t too happy about it either. But these articles might explain better than I can ever.

good read, I always thought the housing should be sealed water/air tight.

So for halogen bulbs, due to heat, the housing isn't actually sealed to allow air to go in and out pulling in moisture that way.

I guess for purely LED light housing, they probably shouldn't seal it 100% either? Parking your truck under the sun for a couple of hours I bet the housing gets just as hot as if halogen bulbs were running

And yes I ended up spending money on oem lights instead because of the condensation in the Alpha Rex and my oem lights haven’t had those issues (fingers crossed). But I’m prepared and hoping I won’t get condensation in these taillights. But I know it’s expected and Doesn’t mean I’m happy about it or it’s right.

This was included in my taillights box.

 

My morimoto headlights had a note in the box stating that it’s possible to see condensation for the first few weeks inside of the housing but that it should go away with time. Takes longer if you live in a high humidity area. It’s my understanding the housings are vented and not an air tight seal (I could be wrong on that part) I did see condensation on my headlights for about three weeks, and haven’t seen it since. I would say this is normal but if it continues then their may be a manufacturing defect.

 

First set was broken upon arrival. Now 2nd set has a bunch of dust inside lens and tons of condensations/water.

 

The red lenses look good on the Cav blue.

 

Do you have a shot of them without the lights on? And a little more of a side view.
I want to compare the visibility of the pipes through the red lense, and if the black internals give it good contrast. Curious if they are similar to Meso's Ultimate/BroPro Tail Lights:
