Did a couple drain and fills in the tranny. Still a couple more to go. I decided I'm not pumping 6-8 more qts by hand. That sucked. Need to get a little electric pump.

Also my giant man hands made it difficult to get the fill plug back in. Dropped the damn thing several times, once it fell into the cross member and I had to fenagle in out of there. The torque pro app was great to read the two Trans Temps. Thanks to the members for putting all that info up.

Yeah, they got in there real deep! The total repair cost was $2k. Since it was done by the dealership the drivetrain warranty remained in effect. Installed this on it when I got the truck back and currently have it on my current truck as well as our Corolla….

I also use peppermint oil spray which most hardware stores carry. I spray the shocks, inboard side of the brake assemblies as well as around the intake and vent areas under the hood. Was told by the insurance company that it’s a common issue with Toyota’s and Honda’s because of the fact they use soy in the production of their wire harnesses. I now make sure to park where I can spray the peppermint oil on all vegetation nearby since it won’t harm plants or animals. I check under the hood often for any sign of their presence. So far so good! :fingerscrossed:

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I picked up one of those after my rodent incident, but decided not to use it as my truck sits in the driveway and the neighbors might not appreciate the occasional disco strobe. Also, since it's outside, wasn't sure about the effect off the ultrasound on the neighbor's dogs. The cats I don't care about. They like to hang around my place and do nothing about the rodents. I started to have a talk with them about this, and they just walked away. Thought that was rude.

Honda does sell a pepper-laced foil tape to wrap around wire harnesses as a deterrent. If they ever attack that same hard-to-get-at harness again, I think I would like to wrap the replacement harness in that tape before the mechanic installed it. Hopefully, the lil' bastages would opt for wires that were easier to replace. Can't see wrapping all the wires.

Glue traps are an cheap & effective population reduction tool. The little varmints are wont to travel right next to the walls, so placement in the corners of the garage or at the corners/edges of any curbed driveway/walkway works best. No toxins to potentially harm kids or pets; at worst you can clean shoes or paws. Easy disposal, upon expiration of the trespasser simply pick it up with a needle-nose pliers & into the trash.

Yes, many manufacturers have the skid without the bump. I don't have one because I haven't done the relocate yet.

You can’t see the light strobing with the hood closed. Here’s where I mounted mine…

Eh, I think taliban-tan looks better as a flat than a gloss. I miss the hilux I used to drive around BIAP.
