I think you can do better than that for 10K with any long travel kit, satoshi grille, seat covers oh and maybe a couple grand in reliability.

im running 3 inch revtec spacer lift now. but come spring im reagearing to 4.56 gettin 35;s and just adding a 3 inch body lift. i like the ride and with 20000 miles have had no problems with the spacer lift. im going to add huge washers to my body lift and give it hell. if it breaks fix it then

I know this is for discussion between 3" and 6" lift kits, but can anyone give me honest feedback about the offroad capability of the RCD 4.5" lift kit? Anyone have this installed? I've been searching and researching all my options and there is a wide difference in opinion about the quality of this kit. It seems to be a decent height and wouldn't have any problems with fitting 33's...but not sure if I'm just better off running a 3" OME kit with the full leaf pack in the back (my truck hasn't had the TSB) or maybe the ULK by Toytec. What do y'all think?

The RCD 4.5 inch lift is not much different than the Pro comp 6 inch lift. It involves cutting the frame for the drop bracket etc. IMO, NO WAY I'm doing this to my brand new truck. i took out my 3 inch and put in the rcd. in my opinion the rcd looks a lot better. there is zero strain on your cv's. the only draw back i can think of is that you lose some ground clearance because it is a drop bracket kit.

6" Fabtech Suspension lift. Headers with dual exhaust. Flowmaster muflers. Engine Computer chip. Tiregate with spare tire. Mickie's TTC Claws 315/75R/16 tires. Dick Cepec DC II wheels. Shrockwork front winch bumper. 8,000 Lb Warn Winch. Heavy duty leaf springs. K&N cool air intake. Sprayed bed liner. Bushwacker flare fenders. 1/2" Steel plated rear bumper.
I would use 3" on a newer truck and 6" for older trucks. As someone mentioned here, you will have to cut out the crossmember which makes it a permanent install. I installed the Fabtech 6" lift and love it.

here we go. Ford 9" rear after breaking 5 sets of gears in the stock yota 8.8, 5.13 gears with a detroit hard locker, 63" chevy leafs and custom hangers, sky's front spring hanger with sky's extream hysteer and PSC hydro assist ram and PSC pump. welded front spyders in the f-550 front dana 60 with warn hubs, pico brake lines and hoses, elecrtic fan, TRD supercharger with URD 2.1 Pully, URD Map-ECU2 and cage built by me. wide band a/f by inovations, lots and lots more...........
iv broken the fabtech lift 100 times and used to install lifts for a profession watch out for the ball joints that bolt up to the spindles on the lower control arms they 4 bolts like to rip out of the cast spindle and can cause your truck to roll over if you read the install instructions it states NOT FOR OFFROAD USE!!!! because they got sued for a guy rolling his truck on the freeway from this happening... its happend to me then i just went SAS

I love my 3" lift. Thought about going 6", but don't want to deal with hassles of a drop bracket. My CV angles are fine... go suck an egg, naysayers!

I would love to run a 6" lift on 35's.
But all I can afford is a 3" lift on 33's (soon to come) :D

i really like the look of a 3" lift with 33s. i thought about going up to 33s (i run 265/75/16s) with my 3" lift but decided not to because of cost (i am a college student on a budget) and the fact that i would have wanted to regear to play it safe
